Bogo Kirke

The hotel is stylish and centrally located. Unfortunately, we experienced two significant issues during our stay, and neither was resolved. First, the air conditioning unit was extremely loud, it sounded like a plane was landing and ran that way throughout our entire stay. I reported the issue in person to the front desk within 2 hours of checking in to see if it would resolve itself, I was told that someone would fix it, but nothing was ever done. Second, we paid for breakfast, but the experience was disappointing. On the first morning, at around 9:30 a.m., there wasn’t a single clean, empty table available. I asked for a refund because there was no seating and told the staff we would skip breakfast for the rest of our stay. Instead, we were told to eat in the meeting room. When we finally got food, several items, including the pancakes, had run out and were never replenished. On the second morning, we didn’t even attempt breakfast and accepted the loss. This hotel has the potential to be excellent because of its style and location, but the lack of staffing, poor follow-through, and overall customer service left us disappointed.

Wonderful hotel. Great room with very cool circular windows with lounge built into frame. Staff goes above and beyond. Only issue -- and this can be a plus or minus -- is it is located in an area of the city that is quite quiet at night. 15-20 minute walk to transit or the more hopping areas of town. Definitely need to ride share or use transit to get to the historic areas.

The Zoku is a unique hotel. I loved the 5th floor layout, with lots of plants and natural light. This is where breakfast is served and where you check in. We had a late flight to Copenhagen and didn't get to the hotel until after midnight. Luckily the check in person was there and we got our room with no hassle. The room was like an apartment; couch, dining table and little kitchenette. When we booked it, I don't think we realized the bed would be in a loft. Being 63 and 66 years old, this made for a challenge when having to use the restroom in the middle of the night. Luckily, we are both short, so for the next couple of nights we just turned our bodies 90 degrees in the bed, and all was well. The hotel is located close to the train station and to two large grocery stores. The breakfast was fantastic! I had made to order scrambled eggs with avocado toast and bacon. Yum! The staff were extremely friendly! Great place!
