After a day of beach combing, Sonoma Coast trail hiking, crab or chowder eating, wine sipping and art collecting retire to your deck for a sunset sip and a lighting of the oceanfront fire pit on the deck. Enjoy views of the stars in the dark sky from the private hot tub. 2 bedrooms and baths are on the top floor. All beds are queen sized to help you drift away to sleep as you listen to the waves. We have resident sea lions that hang out in front of the house and can be seen frolicking throughout the day! At certain times we live on property in separate private quarters with a separate entrance. It is our part time residence. When you send an inquiry for specific dates we can tell you if we will be there at that time. Even then, you will still have the 2 beds/ 2 baths/kitchen / living room/ deck/ fire pit/ BBQ grill and hot tub all to yourselves.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Wifi and cell signal is spotty in this area and is not guaranteed for your stay. At times there may be limited or no wifi access, which can be nice to relax and unplug sometimes. Verizon cell service typically is very strong but other carriers may not work throughout the town. To access beach you have a 1-2 minute drive, or you can walk down the driveway and down a steep hill to the sand. Please ask any questions you have before booking.

Great Location

Great spot right on the bluff looking over the ocean. Very short walk down to the beach which was not crowded at all. Nice host, prompt communication. We had a very nice stay!

Awesome oceanfront location on a beautiful and serene beach.

This property is a fantastic welcoming stay and an outstanding oceanfront location experience for vacationing near both Bodega Bay and Jenner on the coast in Sonoma County! The clean, comfortable and nostalgic setting is perfect setting for some kick-back R&R, yet also convenient to all the varied activities that this area has to offer. It is a wonderful vacation and coastal oceanic experience for all ages to enjoy.

Spectacular views!! Easy communication with the host even though she was traveling. Loved the gas fireplace, hot tub that faces the pasture and a fire pit on the Ocean side she had ready to light. This cottage is comfortable but not luxurious. We were good with this because we wanted our Labrador to accompany us. Many of the restaurants close early so plan dinners at home or order takeout to enjoy the sunset. Be aware there are stairs up to the cottage which can slow down a retired senior. Wi-Fi worked well. Thank you! we would love to return soon.

Good house, great setting

Comfortable modest home, a bit dated but lovely nonetheless, perched on a spectacular setting above the ocean, a constant welcome presence in our stay there. Very nice hot tub on the road / farm side so can't combine the two (but can hear a symphony of frogs!). Hosts super communicative and helpful. Enjoyed hikes both north and south, with fresh local seafood lunches and returning to the marvelous perch for spectacular sunsets. Note wifi poor (as disclosed on listing transparently). Recommend home and locale highly

The views!!!! This wonderful cliff house is very private (thanks to the new bridge taking traffic away) and a wonderful view of the beach/sunset and moonlit ocean. We had a lot of fun discovering the "secret shortcut" to the beach and walk there 2x a day. Bodega Bay is a great place to eat out and it is difficult to beat this stay for so many reasons. That's a photo FROM the house the night before full moon.

Incredible Views and Comfortable Stay

This house is an absolute gem. If you're looking for a relaxing beach location that is dog-friendly and quiet, look no further than this vrbo! The beach was a very short walk, and the updated bridge with the pedestrian overpass made it easy and safe. This house has incredible views and is well stocked with all the kitchen and bathroom essentials. We enjoyed using the fire pit and watching the sun set from the patio. Communication with Cheryl was so easy and she even sent over recommendations for dog friendly restaurants and wineries! We very much appreciated our stay here and hope to be back soon!

Little cottage type home sitting above the ocean with amazing views. Easy walk to the beach below. Was a great few day get away listening to the ocean waves. Cheryl is an amazing host and answered my questions several times before our arrival and was very accessible if needed. Thanks for your hospitality.

Peace and tranquility right on the ocean! Heaven on earth!

Property manager was hands down AMAZING! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for ocean view, ocean access, the sound of waves crashing all day and night on one side and beautiful rolling fields and frogs croaking at night on the other side. It’s heaven on earth.

Sounds of the ocean

Lovely family style home directly on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Large amount of deck space for kids and dogs. Beach access right next door. I had a lovely COVID get away just listening to the waves and watching sunsets. Owners are wonderful to deal with.

Stunning beachfront cottage

We just loved staying here so much we never wanted to leave. Beautiful ocean front cottage that has everything necessary for your stay. Complete kitchen, tv’s in every room, and the sound of the ocean. It’s ocean front not just an ocean view like most places here. And Cheryl is extremely friendly and just a text away should you have any questions.

Met our expectations in every way

Easy, friendly and accurate communication with our host. Beautiful location on the cliff top overlooking sea,rocks and beach. Cooked great meals in the kitchen and played board games in front of fires- both inside and out. Location was great for hiking and a short drive to fun breakfast, lunch and dinner places on the ocean. We will become regulars:)

Sonoma Coast beach house with world class beach

Cheryl’s place is what legends are made of. Spectacular views of the Sonoma coastline with access to the beach. We all literally felt life’s tension lift from our bodies and souls as we descended the staircase . Just over the top amazing experience that has given us a lifetime memory.

Unbeatable location

This was our second stay at the property, and the best part about it is the incredible location. Truly unbeatable nonstop views of the ocean, and a two minute walk around the corner to stick your feet in the sand at Scotty Creek beach. Lovely views from every room. Wonderfully attentive owner who is happy to help if there are any questions. Did I mention the amazing location and views???? We already daydream about returning.

VIEWS!!

This place is magical. You are right on top of the cliff overlooking the ocean. There is so much wildlife and beauty to observe. This place is all about the views. There are great outdoor spots to sit and enjoy the ocean or the farm across the road. There are also great windows to see the ocean from inside. Thanks for sharing your place!

Coastal Get Away

What a beautiful location! This is truly a hidden gem. The location was quiet, the house cozy and the outdoor space amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the waves and the sea lions and just relaxing. The fire pit is lovely (although we had just come from smoke due to forest fires and didn't use it as we were just enjoying the fresh ocean air). I'm sure we will return.
