"Pater Meus was amazing. Very clean, had all necessities. I would recommend grabbing a pack of water and food from nearby supermarket for late/early snacks as we play at the table this place is remote and not easy walk for conveniences when everything is closed. Beautiful grounds, loved the donkey and cats around the property. The views from the pool pad were great! "

"First thing to say is you'll probably need a car as it's about a 40 minute walk to Castelbuono - and coming back is quite steep walking. The upside of that is you are in a very tranquil location. It's idlyllic. Hardly a sound apart from birdsong and the occasional gentle charming clang of a cowbell as (presumably) some nearby cows were being led out to pasture I booked this place because its advert focused on tranquility - and it really lived up to that. "The interior of the villa is rustic with a very welcoming wood burning fireplace which was tended by the caretaker morning and night. There were two fully equipped kitchens, one inside and one outside. There were plenty of dishes and utensils for large group of people. The ground is lovely and large and in spite of the location of the property which is out of the beaten track we felt very safe. Giovanni, the owner lives in a separate villa on the ground and is always available for any advice or...

"This property gave us and a fellow family lots of space to enjoy the Sicilian sun. The pool was great as was the view towards the surrounding hills and the sea. It was nice to experience a somewhat cooler climate than down the sea. On the downside, it took us half an hour to drive up and down the hill to get fresh bread in the morning. The property is somewhat run-down with the odd gadget not working. The owner tried to fix everything though. This is not a luxury property but I would recommend...

"Pros: From the moment we arrived down an unmarked road, through the electric gates and up the dirt track driveway surrounded by oak trees, we knew this place was special. "We had a very relaxing holiday in Lascari. The property is as described in the add, with nice and very clean rooms and bathrooms, well functioning AC in all bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen with nice seating area outside and a large table inside as well. The garden was very neat and the pool was kept clean. There are two beaches within seven to 15 minutes walk, Spiaggia di Piane Vecchie is the closest, with hardly any people but no amenities so bring your own parasol etc, and Spiaggia Salinelle...

Great selection on offer at breakfast freshly made on the premises and plenty of it. They have a good selection of free to use beach beds , kayaks etc.Apartments serviced daily. "Beautiful setting, quiet and luxurious. Food was amazing. We had the Chef’s special menu for 50 Euro as it was so good. We had to leave early in the morning due to a train strike but they provided breakfast before we left which was nice of them. We were travelling by train and it was quite expensive for a taxi from Cefalu but worth the trip. Great view from pool. Would recommend and would be nice for a special occasion."

"The property and its views were amazing. Transportation getting to the resort from the airport was expensive. Expedia organized our flight from Toronto to Sicily requiring a ferry to cross then organize a shuttle at the harbour to the resort. This would have added hours and substantial cost to get to the resort. We reorganized so we flew from Toronto to Rome then Rome to Palermo reserving a shuttle at our expense to get to the resort."
