"Room service was slow and the hotel is very old .. needs updating ! "

"I had a phenomenal five-day, four-night, mid-September visit at Polkerris! Laura and her team really rolled out the red carpet and made me feel so welcome. I had the entire place to myself for my whole visit as no other guests were there, and I felt safe and secure in the gated facility as a solo female traveler. The building and lush grounds were gorgeous, especially the 🏊‍♀️pool and spacious veranda where I had breakfast every morning. They gave me the opportunity to pick from the menu what I wanted to eat each morning. The Jamaican Blue Mountain ☕️coffee and fresh fruit were absolutely delicious, especially the fresh 🥭mango picked daily from a tree in the backyard. My ground-floor room was convenient, comfortable, and spotless. I enjoyed spectacular views from my window. This b&b is safely walkable to the Hip Strip including shopping, dining, entertainment, a casino, and at least three free 🏖️beaches within minutes. Also, the ground 🚍transportation Laura arranged for me was reliable and safe. Even received a sweet parting 🎁gift when I checked out. I would definitely stay there again!"

"A Truly Unforgettable Stay! From start to finish, our stay was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The resort is perfectly located, with stunning views and easy access to local attractions. The Jamaican food was out of this world — every bite was full of flavor and authenticity. I want to give huge shoutout to Bellboy Stephen, who went above and beyond to make sure we were always having a great time. His positive energy and dance moves were the highlight of the night. Bartender Keino at the Altitude Rooftop Bar, kept the good vibes flowing with perfectly mixed drinks and a welcoming attitude. We also had the pleasure of chatting with lifeguard Audley (Tony), whose stories about Jamaican culture and his younger days gave us a deeper appreciation for the island. But most of all, I want to recognize Radalfi and Demar, part of the hotel management team, for truly going the extra mile. They consistently checked in to make sure everything was perfect and that we were having the best time of our lives. Their attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care made us feel like family, not just guests. In fact, because of the incredible staff, we ended up extending our stay by an extra day — we simply didn’t want to leave! We left with full hearts, big smiles, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend this resort — we’ll definitely be back!"

"We went in the off season. The owners and staff were very attentive. I highly recommend the food there for all meals just make sure to tell them in advance you'll be eating there. Travel from Negril to the retreat if you drive there. If dont you will drive through very hard to drive in mountains (at least for an American). It is very beautiful and remote. We do plan on coming back for the food and amazing veiws and recomending it to out friends and families."

"The property was beautiful. The host was lovely. My only feedback was bed was a little hard for me and I have back injury. Could be just my preference but it didn't hurt my stay. It was just lovely! "
