"Overall experience was okay. Room was clean and comfortable. Our third floor room had a great view of the lake. However, there is no elevator, so be prepared to haul your luggage up the stairs. Desk staff we encountered could use a bit of coaching on customer service, and hygiene. Not very welcoming. Second night we got back to the hotel after a long day of exploring, and our key cards didn't work. Addressed with the same deskclerk. No apology no nothing. Just took our cards and reacitvated them. There are several outside access doors which make it easier to "haul" your luggage to your room instead of going thru the lobby. They were not equiped with card key locks, shey lock the doors after a certain hour so you cannot get in. Which is good for security reasons, but you also could not get out of them. Huge concern if you needed to get out in case of an emergency. Also those doors were closest to the parking areas. The place is clean and quiet. And we were really only there to sleep. So it met our needs. And the view was awesome."

"The property was excellent. Quiet, serene and very private. We hope to book next year soon for around the same time. It's beautiful there. The fireplace was super efficient and heated the place fast. The host is super nice and when we had a question he answered almost right away. We love this place."

"Our room had a nice view of the lake. The room was clean but maintenance was unprofessional. We had to park in the street and skipped the breakfast, electing to go to the bakery around the corner. The location was good."

"Such a cute place and ideally located. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and a short drive to many scenic adventures. Cottage was precious and loved the artwork, breakfast nook and many cozy details. Looking forward to visiting here again in the future. All stars "

"Location is incredible: outside the hustle and bustle of Gramd Marais. Yet very close to getting there for hiking, shopping, and dining! Sauna was intensely relaxing. Only bummer was the lack of advertised s’mores supplies the ONE evening (out of for) that we tried to do it."

"Lovely cabin in the woods. Love that it was off grid and had no electricity. The outhouse was clean and had no smell because of the composting toilet. It was as close to camping as we could get this year but much cozier. They’ve done a good job of creating a space to get away and yet be easy to be in."

"A very quaint little nook! Truly feels like a bird’s nest. Comfortable bed, great ventilation, great amenities, great view. Some cons: deck/front windows right next to Voyageur brewing dumpster, rugs slip around and need carpet tape, and a lot of wasted space on the northeast end of the cabin that could use shelving for clothing. Everything else was perfect!"
