Fantastic 4th of July trip at Two Steps Down

My husband, dog and I had a wonderful stay at Two Steps Down. It was perfect for us - clean, cozy, well-stocked and (best of all) right in the middle of everything in downtown Blowing Rock. We loved the fire pit! It was great to have a fenced in yard for our dog. We will definitely be back!

Excellent location and well maintained

This place was perfect for my wife, our dog, and me. The fenced in yard and great location. Right on Sunset Dr, right downtown. The interior was tastefully decorated, very clean, and as advertised. Fairly new appliances and everything was in top working order. We would stay here again on our next visit to Blowing Rock.

Exceeded Expectations

Even though this was a pet friendly property, you would never have known. It was super clean and well maintained. It was also well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, and cleaners (convenient for any unexpected messes), as well as plenty of towels. It had everything we could possible need. We were really impressed with the attention to detail. For example, the property provided pet food/water bowls which you’ll sometimes see in vacation rentals but not always, but they also had a little dog shampoo/towel kit. Perfect and thoughtful if we’ve been out in the rain or a hike. We’ll definitely be booking this property again.

Quaint Hideaway

A lovely hidden spot in the heart of Blowing Rock. You are steps away from everything in Blowing Rock but a quite retreat when you want to escape and recharge. The outdoor amenities are excellent, and the indoor area is very comfortable.

Absolutely lovely!

The place was wonderful. Very cozy & cute. Location is so nice & walkable to the cutest parts of downtown Blowing Rock. Our only issue was that the listing doesn’t make it clear that the unit is a basement unit, below another VRBO. It is also listed as a private hot tub, but it is also advertised to the unit upstairs, so they were using it as well.

Amazing Spring Weekend

Spent a first weekend away with a special friend and it was amazing. Check in process was super simple and even allowed to get in earlier than expected which got our weekend started even better than expected. Host was super nice and openly communicated with any questions I had. Couldn’t ask for better experience and will definitely look to use Diamond properties anytime I go back to Blowing Rock!!

Close to downtown with hot tube

The location is great, only 1 - 2 blocks up to the shops and main street. The unit is newly remodeled and has a nice patio, fenced yard, and hot tub. All furnishings are new., with a nice gas fireplace inside and a well-appointed kitchen. There is some noise from the upper unit but mostly footsteps. Overall, very comfortable, and in a great location.

Diamond all the way!

Beautiful accomodations with all the extra thoughtful touches. Loved the courtyard area that gives you a private outdoor space, and the hot tub is a nice bonus! Just has everything to make a getaway a wonderful experience! We have stayed in four Diamond properties and you just cant go wrong with any of them!

Excellent location!

Loved! Loved! Loved! The place! Great location, completely updated, fenced yard for my small dog (people staying above me shared the fenced area) and fully supplied. My only complaint is the noice from the tenants upstairs. They woke me up a couple times overnight (bathroom use, walking about, shutting doors, 2 and 3am etc) and couldn’t get back to sleep. I don’t know that I would rent this again if I know people are upstairs. Otherwise - it checked all the boxes.

Perfect for a couple and a pup.

We loved the property. It was spotless and had everything we needed. We brought our dog and it was great having a gated patio and fenced in yard. In the middle of town so you never need to worry about parking.

Perfect Location!

This was the perfect place to stay in Blowing Rock! It is an easy stroll to Main Street and all the wonderful restaurants. The place is wonderfully appointed and has everything you need. There was a bit of morning footstep noise from the upstairs tenants, but otherwise, our stay was flawless. We highly recommend it :-).

Great property for a mountain getaway

Two Steps Down is a perfect property for a mountain getaway for 2 people. There’s adequate space for 2 adults. The space is nicely upfitted and very clean. The hot tub is an added bonus and is very private in location. Since the unit is below another unit, some noice is audible from upstairs occupants (you can hear footsteps) but we’ve not found it to be a huge issue and it has never impeded sleep.
