Wonderful stay and excellent hosts! Jeff and Lisa's home was beautiful, comfortable and very spacious. The condo was well equipped and had everything one could ask for. We will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the condo including bedroom spaces with very comfortable beds and bedding, updated primary bathroom with a large shower, hall bathroom which was perfect for those staying in the second bedroom, and plenty of cozy living room seating and dining seating for all. The living room space adjacent to the open kitchen were perfect for family conversations, and having the patio area off the living room provided another space for fellowship. The kitchen was well appointed, updated, and had anything we needed or would need for our stay. The host and hostess were kind to check in and be sure things were going well. We had a wonderful experience and rated the VRBO as high as possible to reflect that.

Laurel Nook at Chetola-Family Getaway

This condo showcases superior building and decorating style! Along with the numerous amenities of the Chetola resort, Laurel Nook had us stocked with snacks, drinks and all our needs for a great 5night stay with our 2 grandchildren. Very high end mattresses assured restful sleep-one of our most important criteria. Five star recommendation all around!

Best of the best

Amazing property for a small to medium size family staying in the NC mountains. Super easy access to Appalachian Ski Mountain as well as being close to Beech and Sugar Mountains. Hosts were amazing. Lots of on property amenities and proximity to pool/spa and restaurant made it even better. Beautifully decorated and well supplied for staying in. Beds were super comfy and gas fireplace was the cherry on top. Coming back again soon!

Mountain Retreat Perfection!

We could not have imagined a more immaculate, cozy, BEAUTIFUL mountain retreat that was fully stocked with ALL of the amenities above and beyond our expectations. Our family could truly unpack and relax- from the smallest detail like fresh eggs in the fridge, local coffee, fun snacks and extra drinks after skiing, to luxurious resort bedding and linens, plus cozy blankets to warm up next to the stone fire place. This condo was like staying at a dear friend’s house, not your typical rental! This condo will be a tradition for our family’s mountain trips for years to come!

A Terrific Property and Experience

My wife, I, our 2 daughters and husbands and 1 grandchild had the pleasure to be in this property over the Thanksgiving holiday. What a great location and view, with access to numerous activities. The condo is magnificent and with so many "extra" touches that were both thoughtful and useful. Furnishings are so intentional and lovely, not a miss-mash to fit into a vacation home, from furniture to linens to soaps, etc. The kitchen was well-stocked and the hosts were so welcoming with cereal, snacks, fresh juices, milk, eggs at our disposal. It felt like coming to a friend's home. Beds were all comfy. So many wonderful extras. We hope to return one day soon.

Beautiful!

We loved our stay at Laurel Nook. The condo is beautiful and clean, and all the beds and furniture are very comfortable and lovely. We really enjoyed the cozy covered porch and outdoor sofa and rockers, a fun place to watch the hummingbirds come and go. The kitchen had everything we needed, down to all the spices, and three ways to make coffee! We loved our time there, and definitely hope to return. Thanks Jeff and Lisa for all your help with making our dates work!❤️

Wonderful Stay at Laurel Nook!

Beautiful condo at Chetola that is close to the pool and lake for fishing. The owners have thought of everything to make the stay perfect. I have never had such a flexible and accommodating host.....we will be back!

This condo is special

The owners go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable….the bird feeders bring in so many birds and chipmunks to the porch that are so fun to watch. The master bath is beautiful. The condo location is perfect to enjoy the resort’s live music at night and the access to the hiking trails is great…hiking the maze and bass lake are beautiful and accessible without getting in a car and provided so much wildlife viewing and gorgeous views. We stayed with our daughter who enjoyed the condo and resort so much.

Great Place

Love this place!

Absolutely wonderful mountain getaway! The home was stocked with everything we needed, plus more! The hosts were so thoughtful and welcoming with items to use during our stay. The location was amazing and beautiful. We cannot wait to book for next fall!

magical wedding weekend stay

I have to say this has been the best rental experience I’ve ever had. As a mother-of-the bride I could not have asked for a better experience. From the quick response and loveliness of the owners, the beauty of the condo with all the little touches - flowers and plants, bird feeders and all the gardening and cookbooks, it made it feel like I was visiting a friend’s home! The beds were so comfy and so many little amenities from the snacks and drinks, coffee supplies- gotta love a frother! - to the variety of phone plugs and well-placed outlets and power strips, (especially thankful for the Apple Watch power cord as I had forgotten mine!), the owners thought of everything to make this stay really magical. I am so thankful I found this wonderful place. Whenever I come back up this way, this is where I will want to stay!

Amazing 5 star experience!!

I cannot say enough good things about this condo. Everything from fast communication with the host about last minute questions to the most welcoming and beautiful property I’ve stayed at. The assortment of pre-stocked snacks and coffee was a game changer. The condo was exactly as described but I’d even say better. The view on the patio alone was so relaxing and we enjoyed watching the birds and chipmunks throughout the day. We were in town for a wedding and our family was completely jealous of our place. We most definitely will be coming back to stay again in the future. Thank you for everything once again.
