A wonderful gem near Bourges

What a perfect stay! Lovely room, warm and welcoming hostess and delicious breakfast. My husband is still racing about the scrambled eggs he enjoyed. The owners take great pride in the château and are very knowledgeable about the history thereof. We were offered breakfast in our room or the common area. We did not eat dinner there( long day of driving and too tired to enjoy a lovely meal). Comfortable and well appointed room with a lovely bathroom and robes. I would highly recommend Château Blet if passing through the area. We will definitely make a booking here the next time we do this long drive!

The Chateau is full of character and history, and also someone’s home. We were made very welcome on arrival and the highlight was the delicious fine dining meal which was lovingly cooked and described by Irina. The inclusive breakfast was also welcome.

Night in a Chateau Exceeds Expectations

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay in a 1000 year old castle with a Roman villa foundation and a charming hostess. Irina made our stay memorable with an outstanding dinner, a delicious breakfast, and an informative tour of this historic hidden gem! A must stay!

Irina made this stay incredibly special

Gorgeous property where we were treated like special guests - and old friends at the same time. Say YES to dinner if you are lucky enough to be offered. Our room was gorgeous, and Irina brought tea and coffee to our room when we arrived. This was a beautiful, calm, and peaceful stay that we'll always remember fondly.

Prima verblijfplaats in een authentiek prachtig kasteel met het nodige moderne comfort. Uitzonderlijk hoeveel er van het oorspronkelijk gebouw en interieur bewaard gebleven is. Alles netjes en proper. Prima ontbijt persoonlijk klaargemaakt door de eigenares Irina. Zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam.

Where does one even begin? To stay in a thousand year old (and that's a guess-it could be and probably is older) chateau in a lovely little town about a half hour southeast of Bourges, in the French countryside is the stuff of dreams. It's a step into history with all the modern conveniences one could want--spacious rooms with stunning vistas, a comfortable bed and a killer bathroom (in a turret!), grand to wander, gardens to enjoy, so much to explore. AND the hosts are absolutely the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.There is nothing to change at Chateau de Blet...unless you can figure out a way to stop time and stay a little longer....10+ out of 10!
