Other interesting places to visit are the active volcanoes Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull, the amazing Westman Islands and beautiful Seljalandsfoss. Stroll through center of the nearby cozy town of Selfoss and drop by the cafe’s, museums, shops and restaurants. Take a drive to the Reykjavík capital with all its glory, nightlife and culture, or take a day trip to the west to Snæfellsjökull national park or to the east to Vík and the Black Beach. Activities such as horse riding, fishing, hiking and snowmobiling are all in the area.

In the evenings you will always come back home to this modern architecturally designed house in Laugarás and the first thing you might do is to relax in the hot tub and enjoy the views or the Northern Lights in the peace and quietness after a memorable day.

The house has a large kitchen with a long countertop, it is very spacious and ideal for family and friends preparing a good meal together. The kitchen has all necessary tableware and quality equipments for cooking and baking. The living room has floor to ceiling windows and an amazing view. Even if you are inside it feels like you are still completely connected to nature. In the living room you will find books and magazines to read and a great variety of TV channels on the large flat screen TV. The bedrooms are bright and spacious, with high quality beds, and a beautiful view. The bathrooms are spacious with long wooden countertops, both with a large shower room.

The design of the house is outstanding and well thought out. It has floor to ceiling windows, open space, hardwood floor, natural stone tiles, designed lighting, and with one of the most advanced and environmentally friendly floor heating systems installed in houses today. The heating system is perfect and we can guarantee you a warm and cozy house in the winter time.The house is designed by one of our best architects, Sigurður Ólafur Sigurðsson who designed many of our spectacular modern houses in Iceland.

On the large patio surrounding the house is a nice hot tub that fits up to 8 people, barbecue grill and comfortable outdoor seating. The patio is perfect for making a good meal and relaxing in the peaceful environment. Beside the house is a grass lawn, ideal for kids to play.
