Suite 2, Quick Stroll to Downtown Black Mountain

Experience Black Mountain from this beautiful location that is walking distance to downtown. We are just steps away from the vibrant Black Mountain Downtown Historic District, famous for its shops, restaurants, breweries and music venues. This charming one bedroom suite is on the main level of the building. The entire town of Black Mountain is walkable, making this the perfect home base for your mountain adventure! This house is over 100 years old and presents itself as such.

Black Mountain Lodge has five units, each with a separate entrance. The door for Unit 2 is on ground level located around the back of the building. The entry to this 659 sq ft space takes you to the kitchen, which is a generous size and includes a dining table. It is stocked with all the necessities you would expect for cooking and dining. The living room adjoins the kitchen, and has a large comfortable seating area to relax and enjoy some TV. There is a smart tv you can use to log into your streaming subscriptions. A new sofa was added December 2023. The bedroom and bathroom are just next to the living room. There is 1 bed for sleeping up to 2 guests. The sofa is for sitting, not sleeping. Due to fire zoning regulations we cannot allow cots or air mattresses on the floor. This is a non smoking property.

We welcome pets, and if you bring one please be considerate of other groups in the building. Please no dogs that bark if you are away. Dogs must be in a crate if left alone. Keep dogs on a leash at all times.

Please note that we do not have a front desk or concierge service. Staying with us will require some “self sufficiency”. You can self check in any time after 4pm and self check out any time before 10am on your day of departure. We are available during reasonable hours to address any questions or concerns, but please note that we are not a corporation and don’t have 24 hour staff. This is a very old house with gas furnaces for heat and window units for air conditioning. You may hear your neighbors. But we do ask that all guests be respectful of one another and that guests with pets, not bring barking dogs that will bother others in the house. Our address is visible for you to map prior to your booking so you can verify the location. Unfortunately we can’t offer luggage storage.

For the safety of our guests and our home, we do not allow 3rd party bookings.

Very nice basic lodging

Suite 2 was very nice and large space. It was basic...no frills. Great location. Walking distances to downtown Black Mountain. Would have wished i had known that we would not have access to the front porch as some other suites. If we did have access , it was not communicated that I remember. Also would have been nice to have somewhere to hang our clothes up. All in all it was a nice place with a great location. Thanks!
