Black Loch

A lovely boutique hotel on the bus route for the city. It is full of character & although on main road we both slept like logs! V comfy bed .

Slightly odd self check in system, especially given I was thinking this would be a conventional bed-and-breakfast or guesthouse experience. We skipped the breakfast offered based on others' reviews. There are some nice options in Portree and other nearby coffee shops and bakeries. The room was spacious and functional. The location is convenient for anyone who just wants to get onto Skye without having to drive any further, especially if having driven from a long distance such as from Inverness. Overall, totally fine, but nothing special.

We arrived on Scotland on my birthday weekend, it was rainy and windy that day But we have fun by the next day with a sunny blue sky and a beautiful view. It was a bit warm since there is no AC but we open the windows and turn our fan on whenever we are in the room. So far we had a great time staying at this hotel.
