"The Lonsleira Apartments is a unique collection of 4 apartments or two buildings (duplex) side by side by the water in a beautiful fjord. Everything you would need is in the apartment. A kitchen with all the amenities, spacious bathroom and many bedrooms. Also an outdoor deck with BBQ.
We are a family room and there was ample space for us to share. Restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. It is a smaller town so various restaurants weren't open during our stay and grocery store closes by 5-6pm.
The self check-in process was smooth and easy. Parking outside the apartment is perfect. All 4 apartments were in use when we stayed and could not hear the other. Also a laundry rooms is available for use as well on property which was super helpful for us.
To be honest, I was debating whether I should book the Lonsleira Apartments at first as it wasn't your typical "hotel" accommodation but I am so glad I did as it was one of our highlights for our trip around Iceland. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. "
"Such a beautiful hotel in such a beautiful town. The scenery along a mirrored lake and next to the Blue Church was breathtaking. The room was really large with a balcony view of the lake. The bed was cozy and the sheets so soft. She even left us an entire chocolate bar to enjoy. We loved our stay!"
"This was a really special stay. The room was comfortable, clean and airy. We had lovely views of the mountain side. The staff were very welcoming and the meals were delicious. We had breakfast each day in the restaurant and there was plenty of choice of both hot and cold breakfasts. We had dinner on the first night and I had the kamb. It was the best lamb I have ever tasted. I would recommend having at least one dinner at the hotel. The staff were always welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "
