「The hotel location was fine and the parking was safe and easy. There were many big events in the area during our stay and we understood why the room rate was so high. The hotel offered an expensive buffet breakfast that was only available if you ate it there. That was disappointing.」

「Checked in. 1. TV didn’t work, not a big deal, they came and repaired it. 2 Bed had no top sheet! Slept with nothing, too hot to sleep with a blanket, see next… 3. Air conditioning did not work, it was 10 PM when we returned and realized it was now 78 in the room, stuck it out for the night, they moved us to another room across the hall. They did offer a coupon for a free night for a future stay, I declined, stating I wouldn’t be returning to that hotel! 4. Next day, when showering,...

「I would’ve given this hotel five stars, had I been charged their normal rack rates. It’s brand new, beautiful, and has an extremely friendly and professional staff. Unfortunately, at nearly $1000 per night on graduation weekend, it raises the expectations and the hotel does not meet that price category of property. It’s a clearly cashing in on a captive audience but seems to be a common theme in the area. That said, as long as you avoid the gauging times, this is an excellent hotel near UVA.」

「The hotel is beautiful - sleek and chic! Great location and stellar staff. The rooftop bar and restaurant is my favorite place in Charlottesville. (The gluten-free pizza is FANTASTIC!). The rooms are nice, but there was mildew on the shower walls the last 2 times we stayed there. The gym has some broken equipment, but that won't stop us from coming back! The best value in the area. 」
