In the convenient and upscale neighborhood of Forest Park, this completely renovated dream home has every luxury. Located on a quiet, private street with two-car carport just one step into the kitchen and entire main level. Lovely, lush landscaped grounds with private walled garden, grand gourmet kitchen with Alabama White marble countertops, Wolf commercial range, Subzero Refrigerator and large pantry. Breakfast room with seating for 6 and large laundry room off of kitchen. Spacious living room with tons of natural light and gleaming ebony hardwood floors, custom Limestone wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and dining with seating for 6. The home sleeps 9 comfortably. Master suite, two guest rooms and two full baths on the main level and an enormous master suite downstairs with private study with twin sized daybed, room sized walk in closet, large bathroom with over sized soaking tub and separate glass shower, private lavatory closet and double vanities. The homes’ eclectic design is derived from the use of fine antiques, classic reproductions and modern accents.

Beautiful house in nice neighborhood

Our group really enjoyed this place for the long weekend. Everyone commented on how nice the house was and there was room enough for 9 grown men on a boys trip. Walton was very friendly when discussing the check-in and check-out process. Solid experience.

Nice house. Check in was a challenge

The house was perfect for our needs, from location to the house design. Check in was different from any other house I’ve rented on VRBO, requiring a phone call with the owner, instead of communication through email or text. It was a challenging dynamic to receive important information (like the lockbox code and specific house instructions) verbally. It felt like it would have been less stressful on both parties if communication was more automated.

Great Quality for the Price

We came in for my brother's wedding and this house was perfect for our stay! There were 9 of us and there was plenty of room. The bathrooms were just enough to help us get ready. The basement was roomy. The owner is very particular, but rightfully so. I've rented out rv's before and people can be rough and tough to deal with. Call him the day before you arrive and follow his instructions and you will have a good stay. Did not have one issue whatsoever.

Family visit

The home is located in a quiet area of Birmingham. While it is an older home, the owner has it tastefully decorated and the hardwood floors are just beautiful. We had plenty of room to spread out and have our own space. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well furnished for all of our needs. The property manager was very thorough in his directions and it was nice to have verbal communication instead of an email. The property could use a deep clean as all homes need from time to time, but that is the only thing that caused me to give it less than a 5. Overall, this is is a great property and I will definitely request to stay here again in the future.

Great Birmingham Option

Our group came in from out of town for the Alabama football game. We've never been to Birmingham, and we feel like we got lucky with this property. It is a good neighborhood, a clean and comfortable house, and 5 minutes from some of the best food I've ever eaten at Saws. It also saved us a lot of money vs staying in Tuscaloosa. I wish we could have received the check-in information via email. I had a bit of a panic attack when I realized I was supposed to call the property owner the day before, and it was the day of and 9 o'clock at night. But Walton answered, we got what we needed, and disasters were avoided.

Ideal for Big Families

Our family has rented this house every year for a decade to spend time with our immediate and extended family over the Thanksgiving holiday. Not only is it always clean, comfortable, and stylish, it is extremely functional. Because of the home's layout, there are spaces for big group hang-outs, smaller nooks for intimate conversations, and outdoor areas to play and dine. The kitchen is spacious (and well-equipped) enough to accommodate many cooks, all of which gather here to cook and clean for our big Thanksgiving meal. There's never any fighting over the best bedroom: All have features that work for families with babies, young children, and middle-schoolers. Added to all of those perks, the home's location in the heart of Birmingham is perfect for accessing parks, shopping, and great restaurants. After Thanksgiving day is over, we all feel like our luxurious Birmingham getaway has begun. Looking forward to another decade!

Wedding weekend for our daughter

We came into town later than we had intended due to last minute things we had to do in prep for our daughter’s wedding. I had been waiting on an email or some kind of check info to be sent to me as directed by VRBO earlier in the day of check in. I emailed the owner and he got back to me and I realized I had overlooked check in instructions that had been messaged to me by the owner shortly after I booked in February. I quickly called him and he thoroughly went over everything we needed to know about the property. We got to the property and entered without any issues. The house was super clean and so spacious! It was exactly what we needed for the weekend. The house was comfortable and felt like home and the location is awesome. And being pet friendly was so nice! The fenced in backyard was a great asset for our trip. We would stay here again and recommend this property to others. Great house and great memories made!

Weekend Celebration

We choose this property, because there were two master bedrooms and because the owner didn't mind if we had a party. We brought another family with us to help us celebrate our daughter's nursing school white coat ceremony and Samford's Stepsing. We were able to have the downstairs for our family and leave the upstairs for their family. It was also nice to be able to host a brunch on Saturday morning for her friends and their parents. We wound up having almost 30 people and there was plenty of space for everyone and it was a good flow for people to be able to get food and drinks and have space to move around and talk. I love that it had a Wolf oven and a nice refrigerator and dishwasher. I wish it had a better been better equipped with cooking utensils, but we bought them and kept them for our daughter who will be living in an apartment next year. We will hopefully rent again if it is still available in two years when she graduates! Walton was wonderful to work with--a perfect host. And the property is beautiful and in a great location to get to downtown and Samford!
