Beautiful hotel Impressive reception area. Booked basic double and that is what we got- nothing flashy, but very clean and functional for one nights stay. I stayed on the 7th group as part of a group (We booked about 8 rooms) and we all had a very poor experience regarding ventilation. The room were so hot, we were roasting. We called reception and told them about the unbearable heat in the room, while they promised to adjust the AC remotely, nothing was done. On the second day, they had to bring a fan for us to use, which helped a bit. However many of the other party in our group were not so fortunate.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Regis. The hotel is clean and tastefully decorated. Location is a short walk from the Birmingham canals and other tourist attractions. I recommend the historical tour boat rides through the canal. Firstly I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. Everyone was exceptional; however, I would like to thank the restaurant staff. The have a great buffet breakfast every morning with a great selection. The supervisor Mehdi helped to ensure everything was fresh, beautifully presented and catered to a wide variety of tastes. We were always welcomed with a friendly smile and he also took time to ensure each guest was personally taken care of. He and our server Blossom remembered how we liked our coffee and ensured it was ready for us shortly after we arrived. Mostly even though it was a breakfast buffet Blossom took time to adjust for special requests. The rooms were a good size and the cleaning staff was great.
