"This place was the perfect fit for a couple that was exploring the area but needed a "base camp" for each day. So many great things to say about this place! Check-in was super easy! We met Salve who is incredibly friendly! She pointed out everything to us and made sure we were comfortable. The apartment was fantastic and so clean. There was nothing we needed at all. The suite had everything. We loved the grounds and the next door wines and food too. I met Rich several times as he was working outside and he was so kind and made sure that if we needed anything, to contact him. This place is absolutely 100% perfect in it location, so charming! Across the street is your own private beach. It has two routes to get to it but we were adventurous. (google-earth it) We had the beach to ourselves the whole day and it was very clean. We had ducks, swans, and kildeer birds visit us. the water is so clean and shallow for about 50 yards from shore. We explored many of the wineries in the are and had an enjoyable time in nearby Suttons Bay. Be sure to get Reclatte cheese from the Leelanau cheese shop nearby. After exploring each day, it was so nice to come back to Hawkins Farms! I used the grill there a couple of times for wonderful steaks. The deck has a table and swing to enjoy a sunset meal. Be sure to walk along the creek on the property. It is beautiful. Thank you Rich and Salve! You were the perfect place for us to make a great life memory! We hope to be back!"

"Great location, comfortable spacious living room, and good kitchen-- nice for prepping and eating meals while looking at the lake. The house was well-supplied-- games and tissues and lots of towels. Aaron is a generous and kind host."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely love the property. It was an incredibly peaceful day, and all of the characteristics of the property were as described. My kids loved the lakefront in the privacy of the backyard. Watching the sunset was a huge highlight being down off of the main road also helped make it feel more cozy and private. Would love to return."

"This property is just as pictures show. It sits across from a lake and has lovely views from the dining room and bedroom. It’s clean and has everything you need for your comfort. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced in backyard. The host was accommodating and easy to work with. The location is a good proximity to town, wineries, shopping, restaurants and walking trails."

"Our stay was great! The kitchen was well stocked with the necessities for cooking. The decks were great and the rooms were very spacious. Our kids had a great time and we were all very comfortable. The home was gorgeous but there was a lot of stairs - so not for people with limited mobility. The location was perfect for our weekend activities!"
