10/10 Excellent
"Loved the spacious room, heated marble bathroom floor, the comfortable bed, the whirlpool and pool, the friendly staff, the full breakfast, the special touches , the eagerness of staff to accommodate our needs"
"Lovely lake views, comfortable cottage exactly as advertised, very clean. We were there over Christmas and Shane added a full-size decorated Christmas tree! He also kindly accommodated a special request we made in advance. Overall, an excellent experience. "
Sunset Waters Cottage at the Heart of Big Rideau Lake
10/10 Excellent
"We so enjoyed our two night stay. The place was immaculate! The beds were so comfortable with lovely linens. Enjoyed the most beautiful sunset! Would highly recommend!"
"Mom & daughter spent a lovely week at the Sunrise Cottage. It was smaller than we expected but comfortable, peaceful and well-equipped. We could see that the host puts a lot of time and effort into gardening and beautifying the property and we really enjoyed the beautiful flowers all around. The host was very welcoming and helpful and was readily available to help with anything we asked for. The park pass was a real bonus for us. Although we didn't have a chance to mention it to the host, we never did get the fireplace in the living room to work. We were surprised to see the cottage is located on a hilltop overlooking the lake as opposed to being at lake level. The cottage is not ideal for someone with mobility impairment because the parking is a fair distance away. There are also small doorways and it's tight to navigate with mobility aids. As other people have mentioned, there are no coverings on any windows other than the bathroom and the bunk beds do squeak when you move. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily go again."
