Great ambience , chill area ,great for a couple to get away. Awesome price very old school , most lights were very warm only thing I would suggest is getting the fluorescent lights out of the bathroom, but I would recommend anybody go if they’re looking for a great cabin feel with a hot tub in their room

The cottage was kind of close to the state route, so it was a little noisy. The room was all right, I had trouble with the heater in the room that I stayed in. But besides that it was all right.

Cute room with an indoor hot tub and fireplace. Overhead circulating fan above bed was most appreciated. Separate kitchen in back room. Great rural location off Big Bear Blvd, east of the urban Village area.

If you are just looking for a place to sleep and shower because you have a lot planned, then this is your place. It's not romantic or luxurious. It's just practical. Everything is very dated. However, I had a great time at Big Bear. There is a lot to do there.

I loved the bathtub with jets. The bed is super comfortable. There's a microwave and refrigerator. The cottage is spacious. Good location to hike the north part of the lake. Close to a ski resort. Please note there is a busy Circle K nearby. You don't have to go to the office (no one there) to check in like the instructions said. You text ahead. There's a form to fill out and this was easy. They communicated quickly at check in time.

I would definitely would recommend this spot for couples. Love the quiet atmosphere. They had a double shower. Which is perfect for couples. close drive to everything we need(groceries, shop, restaurants). The only down side I have is that it’s near then main highway so you hear the traffic.

It was our first time renting a cottage in Big Bear and although we expected the rustic charm of staying in one we were unprepared about a few things. For one, having to send in photos of my face for the pre-check-in process was a little awkward. Secondly, the remote "texting only" communication process and not having someone on site (or even near-site) to speak with during our stay was not good. Perhaps this is normal for renting a cottage in Big Bear but when the gas fireplace stopped working mid-stay, texting two or three different phone numbers for assistance- which never came- was a bit frustrating. We could have used an extra towel and even two extra coffee packets for our second morning but we figured why even bother. I think simple improvements to communication and follow-through would improve customer service in the future. We booked our stay via Expedia. Otherwise we did enjoy the cleanliness and rustic charm of the cottage and our overall visit to Big Bear.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Jetted tub was nice and hot. And clean. Fireplace was nice. Only come was that we weren't able to get any wifi during our 2 night stay which I understand being on a mountain. We still enjoyed our stay very much. Will definitely recommend and book again.
