We loved that the room was close to the lake, clean, spacious, and specially the beds were comfortable, which is big plus. Great location, walking distance from the village.
Great stay! The hotel and Big Bear in general are very dog friendly and it made the trip with our two small furbabies such a great experience. The staff were very helpful and kind. The location was great and the room was clean and spacious. We had such a wonderful stay, we will definitely be coming back again!
We really enjoyed ourselves. The room was so clean. The beds were comfortable. We got to park our car close to our room and the air conditioning worked great which is a great place for us. We will be going back.🙏
The room was super clean and a/c worked very well. The lake was right there with a dock . Fishing was excellent.
The only thing that was a minor issue was the fire pits don’t turn on until 8 pm ( should be more like 7 )
Also the grills got very little propane so it took a while to cook . Otherwise it was great . Will stay here again.
The lady at check in was so sweet. It was a really easy process. The property is in a great location. The construction going on wasn't ideal but that's just bad timing. The only complaint is that the fire pit near our rooms didn't work. We mentioned it on the first day and they said they try to have maintenance look at it but it was never fixed during the 4 days we were there. We happily return here.
The hotel part of the property is newly renovated and very clean with a lake view patio with a fire pit . The windows open so you can get the evening breeze. We will be staying there again!
It was very clean! Spacious. Easy check in and out. Even though we arrived late they were very helpful. Will be staying here again when we vist Big bear!!
Request a room upstairs, request a room upstairs, request a room upstairs. Despite an amazing location, remodeled rooms and amazing stay, my only complaint is how thin the walls are. We go to bed fairly early but people upstairs stayed up and walked around and played music until 2am.
It’s not their fault but I would request the room upstairs if I planned to stay again “also request a fan because it’s wayyyy too quiet and you hear everything!!!! But again, it’s a beautiful location, beautiful rooms and for the price, I’d book again
Great location, walking distance to restaurants, movie theater and bowling. Family friendly. The pool is being renovated (therefore it’s closed). The staff was great.
We chose this hotel for the location. And it did not disappoint. We walked to the village, the marina to rent a kayak, alpine slides and several restaurants. We knew ahead of time about the construction and the pool being closed. So I did not account those things into my review. We stayed in the hotel portion with a queen bed. It was clean and comfortable. Although we didn’t use them, I liked the option of the fridge and microwave in the room. We did hear quite a bit through the doors/walls, but mostly outside of quiet hours (they do provide earplugs!) And we utilized white noise.
The staff in the office were welcoming and very helpful.
We look forward to coming back next summer to see the completed upgrades.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
A very beautiful place to spend wonderful days with the family. Very clean room and excellent service.
Reminder this is just my experience. Room is very clean. Less than a min from the lake. Very quiet. Great bathroom. WiFi was working. Ample parking. I personally prefer a more stiff mattress but it is what it is. Big Bear Frontier was a great place to stay
Had a most wonderful stay! New, clean, great staff, great location with a view of the lake. Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. Had a fire in our fireplace and could walk to the Village shopping. Excellent in every way.
We originally booked a cabin, but a couple of weeks before our trip, we received an Expedia message saying there were no cabins available for our dates, even though we had already paid the deposit. They did have a 2-queen motel room reserved for us instead, and honestly, it worked out for the better.
The room had air conditioning, which was definitely needed during a hot July weekend in Big Bear! The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked great, and I really liked that the TV allowed us to switch inputs. We were able to hook up our Fire Stick and use our streaming services, including watching WWE SummerSlam.
Our room was right next to the lake, so we had amazing views and it was so relaxing with the BBQ and benches at the picnic area. The location was also close enough to the Village that we walked over a few times for food—Village Pizza, BBQ at The Cookshak, and of course morning coffee at Tea & Coffee Exchange. The only issue we had was with parking. It seemed like the parking and picnic area could be better monitored, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. There was a large gathering at the picnic area, and by the time we returned, there was only one parking spot left. I'm not sure if everyone there was staying at the property, but it would be nice if parking was better enforced to make sure registered guests have a place to park.
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend, especially if you're visiting during the summer!
The room was clean, everything worked, very beautiful, the staff is welcoming and friendly.
But unfortunately, we were not warned that the jacuzzi and swimming pool did not work, that's what we went for. You need to warn the guests about it.
And so everything is fine.
