「The pros: really good value for money and a very affordable single room - by far the lowest price when I was booking, highly accessible location near the connection of the two main A roads in the area, characterful ancient building with a pub and beer garden on ground floor stocking local ales, quaint village setting and public square to the front, it's not actually on the main road itself so outside noise wasn't too bad with the window open.
The downsides: the reception or check-in is not...

「Check in was very slow rang bell stood for 10 minutes with no answer, commenced check in, moved car to hotel side of building and then started process all over again
Booking direct they offer better discounts as per card in room, tried via Green King app without success
Could have stayed elsewhere with better views and breakfast included
Choosing a place to stay, I will go past this one every time」

「A gem of a find, a quite location,large car park,friendly staff,dog friendly with a large field off the car park, a great inn with a large beer garden,
A great selection of beers & the food taken in the bar or garden was very good.
After a power cut in the early morning ( no fault of their own) power back on at 9.15am they managed to provide a full English before we checked out.
We would make a point of returning again.」

「Deluxe Double Room, 1 King Bed: We stayed two nights, one in a nice room over top of the pool hall in the back, and another over top of the bar/restaurant facing the waterfront.
Being off season, both rooms were quiet enough after bedtime, and we slept well.
Internet was good. Breakfast was okay, good enough, but not up to the standards of a modern hotel buffet.
Parking was easy, and everything in the town was only a very short walk away.」

「Our 2nd stay at the Sailors Rest...Nice room with fantastic views & a huge king size bed... Great shower & mini fridge with fresh milk & water ...nice touch. Happy with our 1 night stay in Beautiful Appledore & hopefully will return to the Sailors Rest in the future.」

「A very warm welcome from Caroline to a beautiful house overlooking the surrounding countryside and near the church. Clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities in the room (plus bonus cake - always welcome!) and a great breakfast selection. It was particularly nice to have the option of pancakes in addition to the usual full English or cereals, pastry and yoghurt. Walking distance to Innstow restaurants.」
