Great house and location - but absolutely filthy
My group had read previous reviews by recent guests and reached out to the property manager ahead of our stay this week expressing concern about the cleanliness of the house. Past reviews were right on point - the house was filthy! We arrived and there was food in the microwave, on the floor, under the sofa, all over the stove. Fingerprints on the doors. Countertops were disgusting. I called mgmt and there was a cleaning crew at the house in a short period of time (we had to leave) and they brought it up to bare minimum standards. We are living in a pandemic for goodness sake~! At the minimum the floors should be mopped, counters wiped, etc. Our feet were black after walking on the floors barefoot for 5 minutes they were so dirty. We were so disgusted that we just did the cleaning ourselves. Glad to have brought Clorox wipes, gloves, and sponges. After we cleaned it was fine. The house should have a book of complex rules/trash pick up/etc. The check in desk just tells you to download the app for any information. Love that approach. "Figure it out yourself"
Another thing that annoyed me was that when we booked our reservation - we received an email asking how many people were in our party. I replied 8 and they billed us for our badges/facility use fee for 4 people. Wrong for me to assume that 4 badges would have come with the house - but it's just irresponsible of the management to surprise you with another $180 in charges after the coordination was already communicated.
The house location is amazing - yes, close to 1 - but you don't hear it. We brought bikes and had a great time riding around the paths of the complex.
The pools are ok, small. The beachside pools are a great option. The beach is amazing!!
Overall the experience was a great one because we made the best of it. If the house was clean we would have been much happier.
