「Such a shame- could have been 5 star!! Internally the room was great, very comfortable and modern BUT from outside looked dreadful- dirty windows, dead window boxes and number missing from the door. Was very inconvenient, having to go out and buy tea & coffee ( I had asked before we travelled and was assured it was provided.) I draw the line at having to buy loo roll !! Attention to detail needed!」

「Good, but unable to cook」

「Clean and warm. Bed comfortable. Easy to access the accommodation. Room and bedding etc clean. Appreciated the decent size fridge. A good base to explore the area. NB we were glad to have taken advice from previous reviews and taken toiletries, as dispensers were empty, also took loo roll , own mugs and cutlery. A few minor repairs needed but it is end of holiday season and we had a good last minute price so we were happy with the accommodation.」

「Did not appreciate a separate bathroom from our bedroom. We booked 12 months in advance and I am sure that I would not have booked if I had noticed that. Our room was situated at the top of the stairs which meant other guests walking past possibly as you were heading to have or return from a shower. Our room could also be seen from a public area (a small corridor from the main bar to the beer garden) which is not good especially for a woman. The hosts went out of their way to find us...

「Room was clean, but mould/mildew in bathroom. No wifi. Bit of a trek into town but it’s a nice walk, uphill on the way back. Lady downstairs was lovely. Definitely lots of noise coming from the pub when you’re trying to sleep. Cheap accommodation, you pay for what you get.」

「Stayed here a number of times. It's perfect for a quiet retreat with no distractions such as TV or phones. Owner tim is always on hand polite and helpful. Highly recommend the place.」
