"I made reservations to stay at this hotel, and paid in full, over 2 months in advance. When I arrived at the hotel at 3:30 pm to check in and drop off our bags, they did not have our reservation. I had paper copies, and emails, showing that we had in fact reserved a room. The manager had zero interest in trying to solve the problem and told us he couldn’t help us and there were no rooms available. This was our first day in Europe after an overnight flight from the US. "The location was fantastic! It was an easy short walk to all the restaurants and shops in the downtown square. Beautiful part of town to explore. The rooms were very clean and modern, decorated beautifully. The staff were all extremely nice and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious and offered many choices. We arrived by train so I can’t speak to the parking but overall I would definitely come back to this hotel again if we find ourselves back in Garmisch."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Hirsch. The room was clean, comfortable, and full of character. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Breakfast was exceptional, with an impressive selection of fresh, high-quality foods. I arrived several hours before check-in, and the hotel graciously allowed me to park while I explored the area. They also provided a complimentary public transportation pass, which made it easy to catch nearby Bus 78 to Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles. The combination of outstanding service, thoughtful amenities, and convenient location made for a wonderful stay. I would gladly stay at Hotel Hirsch again without hesitation."
