Quiet warm but dated.

Basic and tired motel but very clean and set back from main road so nice and quiet.

very affordable place

affordable price for just sleeping-in on the way to the snow. hopefully they will soon upgrade the room heating to a reverse cycle A/C as the radiant heater is not enough even thought it was already spring it still gets could at night. I can just imagine in the middle of winter. comfy beds and clean linen. hot shower was also great as water pressure was high.check-in and out with no hassles. accomodating people at reception. won't mind coming back again.

Basic accommodation

Hotel was basic and aged. Felt like walking into a time warp straight into the 80s. If you just want basic accommodation for a decent price then this is ok.

Comfortable beds but beware of wifi and showers

Short stopover for a family ski trip. All accommodations in Jindabyne were fully booked, hence we booked in Berridale, which is about an hour plus drive to Perisher. Beds were comfortable. However, the free wifi doesn't work. The hot and cold shower was erratic, changing from hot to cold constantly, and therefore you can only do a quick shower.

Convenient and comfy, reasonably close to ski fields.

Motel is OK and staff provide adequate services.

On arrival our room had a light bulb in the bathroom blown after couple switched on/off, got the staff come replaced it straight away after reporting the problem.

Nice Hotel and great value

We stayed at Southern cross motor inn for two nights and overall experience was pleasant. Will definitely prefer again.

uncomfortable

Women staff didn't know if there's a hair dryer in the room and did not want to let us use spare heater. Room was clean, however, no towels or bedsheets. Hot water keep turning cold whenever other rooms use water. No microwave in the room. Dishes and mugs dirty.

worst experince

We went to stay as a family but the hotel had the worst customer service I have ever seen. Since we were from a different race we were treated very wrong. We had paid for a better bedding and instead got less bed and when we notified the management we were told we can leave and unfortunately we had to short our stay. The terrace of hotel had cob webs and smoke butt, the hallway also had a strange smell. We were ok with mist until the service we saw very unprofessional and management care factor was zero. We will never stay in the place again and will never recommend anyone to book the hotel.

Value for money.

The budget room is functioning. Ok for whoever want to save money or last minute deal to stay for snow trip. Nothing fancy so if you are looking for wow factor, it's not there. For distance, it's approx 50 minutes to Perisher. Ok for weekend trip to the snow but not ok if staying longer because of distance.

About half hr to snow great place

Stayed here for the snow was excellent we stayed in a bunk bed cabin was excellent and clean. Shower was contantly changing hot n cold though. Bring a extra heater as the rooms were still cold with theirs. Awsome little place needs alot of work but rooms were fine just to sleep

Stay here every season. Good basic accommodation that's not too far from Jindabyne. Great steamboat option for dinner! I highly recommend it :-)

Very good for the price

Very Clean bathroom, decent spaced roomed. 100% value for price. Only problem was the mattress feels a bit outdated, will definitely return

Spider webs everywhere. Come on clean your hotel. People are paying you good money to stay there. We found spider webs on the balcony and all over the outside slider doors ,in the room and dirty stains on carpets.

Affordable place that lives up to expecctations

The room was ok which could fit up to 6 people. But we loved the hot pot organised by the hotel and especially the staff and their service. Never expected to have such a wonderful dinner for a good price there. They had a large comfortable lounge area with a karaoke.
