"El alojamiento un acierto. Éramos 10 y había 5 habitaciones. Mucho espacio tanto dentro de la casa como fuera para estar a gusto. Coral, la anfitriona nos lo hizo todo muy fácil. La terraza se orienta al sur, por lo cual entra mucha luz y sol directa durante los meses fríos. El pueblo en qué se encuentra este piso tiene mucho encanto y desde el balcón se ve las montañas y casas tradicionales de piedra a la izquierda, y otras bonitas casas de piedra, una iglesia, y un bosque a la derecha. "The apartment was clean and near the beach as advertised, nicely updated, however the Wi-Fi was very weak and sometimes useless, there is a busy street about 3 meters from the building that was not disclosed in the advertisement, so it is not a quiet location. Parking is limited and you will not be able to park next to the building, in the evening we returned to find no parking nearby…overall we would not recommend the apartment unless there is nothing else near by. Also we were out of power one...

"This is a great hotel, which I've stayed at on numerous occasions. Room is clean, tidy and has everything you expect. Reception is good and there is good ( albeit expensive ) underground parking (17 Euros). Breakfast was plentiful and tasty."

Parador De Limpias

"The Parador de Limpias is in a lovely old building with modern ‘wings’ added - we were not too sure if the modern architecture matched the historic original architecture - however, everyone has their own taste in architecture. The Parador is ideally located for the short drive back to the Santander Ferry Terminal. Our room was lovely (but no tea/coffee making equipment) and the staff were charming. There are two choices for parking - free parking in the hotel grounds a few minutes walk from the building, or right next to the hotel for a few euros a day. Do not be misled by out of date reviews on other websites - the hotel indoor pool closed three years ago! The outdoor pool looked delightful but…. it was closed, as Parador swimming pools only open on 1 June. The town is only a five minute walk away - but not much to see. We were surprised to hear very loud engine revving on the Saturday evening - we wandered into town to find that it was the prelude to the annual Limpias Road Rally - tannoys were announcing the cars and their drivers who were preparing for the next day’s rally. I had forgotten how loud rally car engines are! We made a swift retreat back to the relative tranquillity of the Parador and were then serenaded all day, next day, with the sound of cars racing around the local roads. If you like road rallies, then it will be worth visiting next year. If you like peace and tranquility then I would recommend checking the websites to definitely avoid those dates!!"
