Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, location, listing accuracy
This was a horrible experience! Prior to our stay, nearby wildfires caused air quality to be categorized as unhealthy and at numbers that even require the community aquatic center to close. We shared this concern since we have 2 guests with lung issues and the host and management company were unwilling to make any changes to our reservation. We decided to still go on the trip to at least have time indoors with our friends, but the house itself was even worse. The home is advertised as having a “no pets” policy which is one of the reasons why we chose it (again, due to lung health issues). However as soon as we walked in, the house had a funny odor and the front rug was covered in white pet hair. The carpets did not look vacuumed and there was more hair on the furniture as well. Since we arrived in the late afternoon I decided to contact the host in the morning. That morning I realized there was also pet hair in the sheets and comforter of our bed. At this point 2 people were struggling with their asthma. Someone eventually came to clean and change sheets but it’s completely disgusting to know that the home wasn’t cleaned prior to our stay. Our bathrooms also didn’t have enough toilet paper for 8 guests and either the shampoo or body wash was not replenished in the 2 bathrooms. The home was definitely not as it appeared in photos and was not worth the 2K we spent for 3 nights. Worst part- not a single apology despite us being patient.
