Valley View features 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests. Inside, enjoy a cozy stone fireplace, warm alpine charm, and a one-of-a-kind retro rec room ideal for relaxing after a day on the slopes or the course.

In the milder months, there`s plenty to do here. Drive the kids a couple minutes over to the indoor pool / hot tub at Schuss Village. Put in a few holes at the most picturesque golf courses in the state. Hike, bike and play on some of Michigan`s most beautiful and well-kept trails. Climb to the top of Schuss Mountain. The property is located in a beautiful, wooded neighborhood full of paved, gently rolling streets and paths and is great for bike riding. There are many mountain biking trails around the area as well - the beautiful Glacial Hills bike trail system is only 10 minutes away. Take a 15-minute drive out to gorgeous Torch Lake. Or maybe just sit out on the deck with your morning coffee; high up in the trees, you`ll hear only the whispering hardwoods and occasional chickadee.

In the winter, take advantage of the best skiing and snowboarding at Schuss Mountain, with easy access to the slopes from the trail just a few minutes` walk from the house. There are also nearby trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing, as well as opportunities for fat bike riding. After a day of adventures, cozy up in front of the fireplace with a good book and make memories with your loved ones.

Property Details

Entering on the first floor (there`s a boardwalk from the driveway to the front door), the entire kitchen / living room / dining room is all open space. The kitchen has granite countertops, plenty of storage space (cabinets, pantry, etc.), a new refrigerator, range, microwave and dishwasher. There is a bar with room for 3-4 stools. All utensils, pots, pans, etc. are provided, as are complimentary coffee and tea. The kitchen opens to a spacious living area with new leather sofas, comfy chairs, and a beautiful stone fireplace for the chillier nights. There is a 40` LED smart TV as well. The dining area adjacent to the living room has a huge dining table with seating for 8-10. Two large ceiling fans keep things cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Sliding glass doors open onto the expansive, wrap-around deck - with excellent views of the valley (a propane grill is provided for your use as well). Also on this floor is a bedroom with a queen bed, dresser and seating (a pack n play type crib is provided as well). A full bathroom with custom tiled tub/shower is right next door.

Taking the stairs up to the loft area, you`ll find a bedroom with a queen bed, seating, dresser, LED smart TV, and sliding door opening onto a seating balcony. This bedroom also has a wall A/C unit. There is a nice half bath adjacent to the bedroom.

Taking the stairs down from the main level leads to the `rec room`, with leather sofas, another refrigerator, a large 40` LED TV, and a very cool retro tabletop arcade game from the 80s with over 400 of the best `old-school` games from the day (show the kids how it USED to be done!) There is also a place to store your ski / snowboard equipment, and a laundry room with new washer and dryer. A full bathroom with stall shower is also on this level, as are two more bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed under an L-shaped loft with two single beds (great for a small family) a dresser and LED smart TV. The 4th bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds (4 single beds total), a dresser, and a closet.

As with most of the properties in the Shanty Creek area, heating is by electric baseboard, and many of the rooms have their own independent thermostats which can be set individually as desired. Air conditioning is on the main floor and in the loft. We also have high speed internet available for your bowsing and streaming.

The Bellaire area offers access to hundreds of attractions. Shanty Creek boasts four championship golf courses: Cedar River (Weiskopf), The Legend (Palmer), Schuss Mountain Course, and Summit Course. In addition, other excellent courses are conveniently located nearby. Take a short trip to Lake Bellaire, Torch Lake, or Grand Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan for swimming or boating, or enjoy a nice, relaxing canoe ride down the Jordan river.
