A little gem. We loved everything about our stay at the Old Vicarage. Keith and Annette could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The house is beautiful and we loved our room and the 200yr old antique bath. To top it all off the breakfast was the best we’ve had on our travels. Outstanding. We will definitely be back

The Old Vicarage is old, quirky and quaint but such a welcoming place. The owners were helpful in advance of our stay responding promptly to an email with suggestions for places to eat when phone calls and online contact with local establishments were ineffective. We had extremely comfortable room with great facilities, even down to providing wine glasses. The bathroom, with its ancient bath, was private and warm. The plumbing was explained effectively! Breakfast choices were made in the evening and our actual breakfast was delicious. Thoroughly recommend.

Overnight in a historical house

The really old house with authentic decor and good choice of breakfast. Cash-only. Belford is a small town and it can difficult to find a place for dinner. Nevertheless Co-op always helps you. There is a nice garden near the house where you can have a picnic.

Top quality from to ceiling

What a wonderful little B&B. From the moment we entered we were greeted with such warmth and friendliness. We'd been walking for 23 miles and were wet and tired. A warm welcome as we entered and they took our boots and dried them out. Beautiful old place full of character, but warm and spacious room. Fab original victorian deep bath (much needed). Lots of little extras in the room and great wifi too! They have an award for their breakfast and it did not disappoint. One of the best I've ever had and so much choice, great produce used and beautifully cooked. Overall I'd give this place a 10 out of 10 for everything. I'd definitely be going back, but this time to relax and not go off walking. It was our last stop before the final 14.5 miles to Holy Island, but so wonderful refreshed and fed we made that final leg in just over 4 hours! Thanks to The Old Vicarage!

Perfect B&B

Fabulous one night stay in the Old Vicarage, in the historic town of Belford. It lays claim to being the oldest house there, since 1690 apparently. The hosts were great, and the breakfast was outstanding. Would definitely stay again.

Warm Welcome, Good Breakfast.

Really great place to stay with warm welcome. The room was comfortable with an adjoining bathroom with a antique bath, very in character with the property. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The location is very handy for Lindesfarne and Seahouses, which are both with 10 mins drive away. The local pub is very close to the accommodation for an evening meal. All in all a really good place to stay.

Oasis in an idyllic landscape

A thoroughly enjoyable stay at the quintessential old vicarage: Welcoming hosts, a room with a view of the picturesque churchyard (worthy to feature in any Agatha Christie!), birds singing in the morning - an oasis in an idyllic landscape.

Comfortable B&B handy for beaches and countryside.

A lovely old vicarage tastefully restored, has lots of atmosphere. This was our second stay here we love this area,good walking country.There are three friendly places in the village for evening meals.We were made very welcome by the owners Annette and Keith.

Superb!

This was a fabulous B&B. Annette and Keith were superb hosts, and made us feel so welcome. Our room was spotless, with lots of extra little touches. Comfy bed with quality bed linen made for a lovely night's sleep. As for breakfast - fantastic! Would very happily stay at The Old Vicarage again.

B&B full of character in quiet picturesque setting

Stayed 4 nights. Light room with lovely view and very comfortable bed. Gorgeous period bathroom with massive bath (no shower) Amazing choice of breakfast, prepared with love. Complimentary drinks and biscuits. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Magic Find - Keep it a Secret just for you.

So welcoming. The amazing couple that run this fabulous B&B are to be congratulated. An old building they have renovated with love to provide a real, warm welcome for their guests. Only two rooms but beautifully laid out and absolutely everything you could possibly want. Fabulous breakfast, a small fridge in the room (I wish all places did that!), complimentary sherry or Lindisfarne Mead, resident lounge and garden sitting. On street parking and so much help and welcome you are overcome. I could not recommend this place more highly - would stay there again like a shot. Go for it - centrally located for Northumberland's beautiful countryside and coastal regions and a place to be valued and treasured.

Cosy place to stay

We stayed here while attending a wedding at the nearby Middleton Hall. We received a lovely warm welcome from Anette and Keith, who really put themselves out for us. The property has lots of character and is very cosy. We would certainly stay again.
