Cozy lakefront cottage - dock, kayaks, fire pits, queen bed + air mattress
Our cozy round cottage sits right on Tiger Lake, surrounded by trees and peaceful water views. Spend your days paddling, floating, relaxing on the dock, or simply enjoying the lake from your private patio. With a queen bed for two and an air mattress that can accommodate up to 2 additional guests, plus a convenient kitchenette, it’s a comfortable home base for a laid-back lake escape. Tahuya State Forest and Belfair State Park are both nearby for hiking, exploring, and enjoying the outdoors.
The space:
Come enjoy everything Tiger Lake has to offer, tucked away between the lake and the woods of the Kitsap Peninsula. We’re just minutes from Tahuya State Forest, with ORV and dirt bike trails nearby. There are staging areas at Elfendahl Pass and Mission Creek, so you can spend the day out on the trails and then come back to relax by the lake, sit on the dock, or have a fire. If you need trailer parking, let us know ahead of time. We can accommodate a trailer or toy hauler up to 24' long.
If you’d rather explore the other direction, Belfair State Park and Hood Canal are just a short drive away.
Yes, it’s actually round! The main living space is completely circular windows wrapping around much of the room and several looking right out toward the lake. Cedar shingles, exposed log beams, and exposed red brick give it a cozy, cottage-in-the-woods feel.
The main room has a comfortable sofa and lounge chair, a large smart TV, a high-top table with seating for four, and a small kitchenette. We’ve stocked it with dishes, glasses, cookware, and even everything you need for s’mores. There isn’t an oven, so the kitchenette is best suited for simple meals and snacks rather than cooking a big dinner. This is where the air mattress for guests 3 and 4 will be set up as well.
Down the short hallway is the bedroom, with a queen bed, its own TV, and a sliding door that opens right onto the patio. You’ll have a view toward the lake from the room, too.
The bathroom has a vintage fold-up train sink and a tiled step-up shower. There’s no bathtub.
The cottage is down a quiet dirt road and has a paved driveway with parking right next to it, so you won’t have to haul your things very far.
The round house is on the same property as our main home, but has its own private lake-facing patio surrounded by greenery that provides a good amount of privacy.
From the cottage, the lawn slopes down toward the lake. There’s a dock, Adirondack chairs, a Solo Stove fire pit, and the boats and water gear down by the water. It’s a great spot to spend the afternoon swimming, hanging out on the dock, or just sitting around the fire.
There’s also a second fire pit in the grass just beyond the cottage’s patio that guests are welcome to use.
It’s a small, cozy place made for slowing down, getting outside, and enjoying the lake and woods without having to go far.
Other things to note:
