This is a basement suite. The bathroom is excellent with a big bath. We worked out the heating as the nights are getting cooler. There was enough in the kitchen with sharp knives so we could cook simple meals.

Lovely place in a pretty and quiet neighbourhood. A nice park to walk pets nearby. Very homey. My only suggestion would be to make the check in a little earlier, maybe even 3 o’clock. Thank you!

This is such a nice place ! Super roomy, perfect location and easy everything else ! One of the nicest booking I’ve had in the 10 years I’ve spent working on the road. Cannot recommend enough.

I had to contact host for check-in information but she responded immediately. The property was in a nice neighborhood, close to Supermarket and shops. There is a washer and dryer located in the unit. We tried to mirror our iPad to watch tv but internet was slow for that. We were woken up at about 4:30 am by an animal in the upstairs going across the floor. I guess the people in the home work very early around 5:00am because they were noisy when walking around, which could be heard in the bedroom in the rental unit. So we were awake also! not very considerate to guests paying to stay there.

Bed was comfy and spacious. My only downside is that the room could use a clean and thorough clean mop. Maybe it’s because customers wear their shoes through the rooms. I dunno. We take our shoes off at the door but changed to flip flops because our socks were soiled. I would suggest adding dish towels and topping up the soap in the bathroom. They were near empty. Minor stuff. I would stay here again. Location is close to Sunnyside Mall in Bedford. Wifi worked well.

We had a wonderful stay and truly felt at home. The hosts were amazing—friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood, which was perfect for us and our dog. He was relaxed throughout our stay thanks to the peaceful surroundings. The location is excellent, with shops and restaurants nearby and easy access to Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg, and Halifax. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Decent basement unit to settle in and explore the Halifax area. Thought check-in could have been smoother but they allowed us to check-in early which was really appreciated…just had to wait for check-in instructions at the last minute. Some bugs around, but that’s pretty typical for a basement. Also, the water from the tap tasted pretty weird/bad, maybe something to check. Overall, not bad.

Stayed one night. Basement apartment . Bed was king sized and comfortable. A/c was in BR and that cooled the rest of the unit….so temp was unbalanced but workable if not a bit cold in bedroom but overall comfortable.Communication with owner was spotty. Had to ask for entry code (was not sent prior) My complaint was : NO COFFEE MAKER!!!!!! Even a crappy motel has a coffee maker. I messaged right away after we arrived once i noticed this. Crickets. Super disappointing and while it would seem a small detail it really made the stay (much) less enjoyable. I need coffee in the morning and enjoy getting up early to have it. Fail. Owner responded over 13 hours later after my inquiry to say that a coffee pot was not provided and that there was a coffee shop a short drive away. Oddly there was ground coffee and filters available. Even a pour over would be fine as there was an electric kettle for water. Also, the fridge had not been cleaned from the last visit so old rotting food and crumbs were in it . Kinda gross. I let owner know this right away and they noted they overlooked this when cleaning and apologized. Fine. Overall a nice place in a nice neighborhood. Parking on driveway available. Would be nice to have garbage bins available outside to deposit trash. Owner said to leave outside door? Ok. The coffee conversation really soured my visit. I would stay again if that were remedied. It’s an easy fix and it’s a nice house in a nice location.
