A cottage located in the village of Kirklington in Yorkshire. It has a super-king size double and a twin room, both with zip/link beds that can be changed upon request and both with en-suite facilities as well as a cloakroom on the ground floor, it can sleep four people. It also comes with an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an artificial fire. Outside is off road parking and a patio area with furniture. An impressive cottage in the fantastic location. Please note between May and September this property only accepts week long bookings that start on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
The Neighborhood:
The village of Kirklington lies east of Masham and south of Bedale, mid-way between Yorkshire’s National Parks, the Dales and the Moors. Kirklington is a well laid out village with a huge village green surrounded by older houses as well as a church and village pub. Across the fields (1/2 mile) is Camp Hill Adventure Park, and within easy reach is the market town of Masham, which is situated on the River Ure. Masham boasts a range of crafts, galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs, and is the home to the Black Sheep Brewery, which now brews 11 million pints of beer a year! The cathedral city of Ripon is a short drive away. Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Gardens (a World Heritage Site) is about a 20 minute drive and you can enjoy one of the best preserved monasteries in England or walk the seven bridges walk – a must. Ideally placed for exploring all of the famous Dales of the Yorkshire Dales National Park or the North York Moors National Park. The city of York is less than an hour away and Harrogate is about 40 minutes’ drive.
