「We were delighted to find the cottage provided all we needed and was comfortable and homely. The view from the back was relaxing and cottage a good position for the coast and any needs. 「This is a lovely cottage that is very well appointed. There is everything you may need in the kitchen, making it very easy to self cater. You can see Lindisfarne Castle from the back windows! Super location. This was our 3rd visit and we will return」

「We have stayed at St Cuthberts Retreat a number of times now. The property is clean, well-appointed and we like the location, which is close to The Cheviots for hiking, has great golf in the area (The Roxburghe, Goswick, Linden Hall for example) and lots of interesting places to visit. In fact we always come away wishing we had more time there! Thoroughly recommended - we certainly intend to return.」

Only note, instructions say the key is at the back of the house where the parking is but the parking and the key holder is clearly at the front of the house - not sure how a simple instruction like this can be wrongly noted. 「Perfect location and great property giving easy access to the town and beaches. The views from the lounge are lovely. Our party consisted of 3 adults, 2 children and 2 labradors and the property served us well! Plenty of room. 「Fabulous cottage in a quiet setting. Airy and light & welcoming. Nice big dining kitchen with (more than!) everything we needed. View from sitting room over the hills was lovely. A great position to trek out from - so near to Cragside National Trust, which is a must! We also visited Wallington & Gibside NT & Holy Island. Thankyou for entrusting us with your home from home - we will definitely be back to explore more of this beautiful area.」

The property is located in the grounds of the owner’s property who provided us with a warm welcome and recommended places to eat and walk.
