"Staff.. the maintenance man was friendly and helpful. The managers barely spoke English. We were there 3 nights and had to have our room key card recoded 3 - 4 times. There was a towel left in the room by previous occupant. Only 1 hand towel in the room. It was quiet and the bed wasn’t bad.Breakfast wasn’t much to be desired. Example. Some packaged breakfast bars expired 3 years ago. Slim pickings. Advertised breakfast included. I recommend going to the diner across the street."

"Very quiet modern cabin near the Keosauqua Des Moines River bridge. All dishes & kitchen utensils furnished, as was shower supplies and even laundry detergent. Truly a walk-in-with-clothes-and-start-living experience."

"This was my halfway-ish stop on a trip from St. Louis, MO to Mayo. I needed a comfortable room for one night that wouldn’t break my budget, and this hotel delivered. The room was clean and comfortable, and the free hot breakfast was great! Staff were all pleasant, helpful, and busy—everywhere I looked, folks were cleaning up and making sure everything was in tip top shape. Water pressure was good, towels were plush, and there was plenty of hot water. Location can’t be beat; the hotel is right next to an affordable little market for any essentials you might’ve forgotten to pack, and there’s plenty of green space around the property if your kid (or you) just needs to burn off some car-trip energy."

"This was a very old hotel. The flooring in the room had many gaps and was peeling from the bottom. The bathroom sink was very small, and did not have a stopper. The small refrigerator was quite noisy. Otherwise, the room was clean. I would only recommend this for the budget traveler."
