The room and private sitting room are lovely; comfortable and in keeping with the Georgian building. The owners live in the house on another floor and were very friendly on arrival, clearly love their city and had lots of suggestions if needed.
While the bedroom itself is mostly bed which does take some manoeuvring with two people, the sitting room more than makes up for any lack of space.
Property has two very friendly cats, one of whom is enormous and incredibly fluffy. 11/10, recommend.
The walk into town is easy enough, there are parks very close by, it’s five minutes to the Holburne Museum.
Great place, great location, great price! The host was so welcoming and provided us with plenty of recommendations for things to see in Bath. The rooms had plenty of amenities and I loved the commitment to the Georgian-style decor. Absolutely stay here if you're coming to Bath!
A gorgeous Georgian property close to all main points of Bath - very hospitable towards myself and my partner. The rooms themselves were so full of character and so cost effective, especially for a bank holiday weekend; I couldn't recommend the place or its host more.
Pete was lovely and helpful and provided us with everything we needed for tea and coffee. It was easy to walk into town and the house was quiet. Thank you for a welcoming stay!
The host, Pete, was extremely welcoming and informative. The property was on a busy street, and we enjoyed watching the hustle & bustle of the small city. However, our first floor bedroom was located in the quiet rear of the house, so we slept peacefully. A ten minute walk got us to the main attractions of The Roman Baths and The Abbey.
I enjoyed my stay here more than any other place I have stayed in the UK. A wonderful old building done out with Georgian style furniture, only 10 to 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Nothing was too much trouble for the warm and friendly host, the bedroom faced the garden away from the road so was wonderfully quiet and the four poster bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern, clean and a decent size. Just bear in mine this is an old building so shows some signs of minor ware and tear, but if that does not bother you I can not recommend this place highly enough.
Pete was very helpful and informative prior to my arrival I how to get to the property as well as things to do and places to eat. I was surprised to receive in addition to my room what it’s ensuite bathroom use of a living room to myself on my own floor; Pete communicated daily as to my wishes

I feel like this property could be a 5 or a 1 depending on who you are and what you value. Peter is very friendly and helpful, a very nice man. The rooms are large and have an antique-store vibe. But the property needs a good clean and is not that well maintained. There was a heat wave happening when we stayed so it was hot in the room at night. There was a fan but there is no AC in these old buildings. We had booked 3 nights through Expedia as part of our multi-city England holiday. A couple of days before our arrival in Bath, Peter messaged us to say a “mix up” meant that our first night was not available. It was left to us to find last minute accommodation at our cost. We were able to find a place in another nearby city and it worked out ok but it could have been a serious issue. It did affect our plans for our time in Bath causing us to compress three days activities into two. Luckily our pre-booked tour was not on the affected day. Peter wound up refunding us for the lost night in cash when we arrived and allowing us to park for free as compensation. I can see how some people would absolutely love this property because of its cool factor but I personally wouldn’t book it again.

We got a bedroom and a living room on the first floor. They were separated by the main staircase so not completely private. Bedroom a bit cramped. Bathroom was fine. The living room spacious and interesting- antique furniture and various nick knacks and ornaments everywhere.
Location was good for access to Bath center and also parks nearby. A convenience shop is right across the street
2 problems with the living room.
1) It is NOISY. The windows offer no protection from the traffic noise outside and that street is busy night and day.
2) the lighting in that room is poor.
The host was friendly and helpful.
Absolute must-visit in Bath! First of all, the host Pete is a real gem. Extremely friendly, full of great recommendations and general knowledge of the area, he made me feel extremely welcome.
Room(s)/facilities: Both the room, the bed itself and lounge area with sofas were charming, and came equipped with plenty of towels and toiletries. Pete also said that if ever I needed anything replenishing, that I could just send a message, and he did check up on me, which was very kind.
Area: lovely quiet area, art museum and a few pubs/restaurants nearby; easily walkable into town (5 mins to Pulteney Bridge).
Food: food wasn't available at this property, HOWEVER, I only mention this because I would note this as a bonus, as there a plethora of options in town, which means you get to get out and explore. Milk and tea/coffee options were provided, which was more than enough and very much appreciated.
Overall: I had a wonderful visit, loved my time in Bath and will definitely be returning. I recommend to anybody visiting Bath to stay here, you wont regret it.
Love, love, LOVED our stay here! The place was so charming and was a short walk from the city centre, so getting around was super easy! The host was also amazing about staying in touch with us and giving us tips for our stay in Bath!
