「Absolutely a fabulous cabin. So western authentic and by far the cleanest destination I have stayed in for a very long time. Check in was easy and staff so friendly. I would beyond recommend to anyone. Walked across the street for dinner at the Cowboy Smoke House which was also fabulous. Love the decor in the cabins. Beds are super soft. Cabins smell clean. Little patios. Only negative is the closeness to the highway…but that runs through town so what can you do. 」

「We had a lovely stay at the Econo Lodge in Panguitch. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel room and overall facility were clean and quiet. The room was spacious and included 2 sinks, microwave, fridge and two comfy queen beds. There was also a guest laundry room and free continental breakfast. Overall, our family was satisfied with our stay here.」

「The room was adequate for our needs. I probably would not stay here again, not due to the service or friendliness of the office staff but because of the appearance of the bathroom. The grout in the shower area was moldy and did not appear clean, we made a short overnight stop to sleep for 6 hours and continue on our way. Neither my husband nor myself wished to use the bath/shower as a result of it’s appearance.」

The Gem Theatre (previously known as Kinema Theatre, Hub Theatre) was built in 1909. In 1924, one of the reels of film got stuck in the projector and caught fire, igniting a full reel in the lower magazine. Only the outer shell of the theater survived the fire. The Kinema was rebuilt "as near fireproof as possible" and reopened in 1924. The Kinema Theatre was renamed the Hub Theatre in 1928. In 1933, the theatre was renovated and renamed it the Gem Theatre. After the advent of television, the theater could not attract large enough crowds to pay film rental fees. The Gem Theatre closed about 1986. The title of the last movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, remained on the marquee for ten years as the theater sat idle. Sometime after this the theater was again damaged by fire. Mark Childs, owner of Childs Construction, and his wife Heather, a retired dancer, purchased the Gem Theatre in April 2010, after moving to Panguitch from Henderson, Nevada.  After replacing the building's fire-damaged roof, the Childs rebuilt the Gem Theatre's interior and reopened it on 28 May 2011. #OnTheRoad
