I've stayed at multiple places in a few different cities like Rio, Recife and now Barreirinhas and Pousada Vida Nova was the best in terms of cleanliness, staff and everything in general

It was a short but pleasant stay. The staff and river view were notable, rooms were better than we expected and breakfast was fresh. We also loved the possibility to go down and swim in the river. The neighborhood seems edgy but we did not have any problem walking from the hotel to the city center.

This location is not close to city center but the view of the river was stunning. There was also a fair amount of music. It didn’t bother me but if you are a light sleeper then you should be aware.

I loved being by the river.. we had a Riverview room, however it was much smaller than it appeared in the photos. We had good hot water, which is not common here. The room was very basic, but the location was fantastic, the breakfast was good, but absolutely loved the Vista that came with breakfast ... And if you walk down the stairs, a hammock by the water is super cool! I thought it was a bit expensive as we had stayed at other ones in the area, but it was fairly unique, and the service was very friendly. Did see one cockroach, but it's almost expected for being practically in the jungle! And they were nice enough to let us Park our car at their other location up the street, so we weren't on the street. Some of the boat tours will actually drop you off on their private dock.. so that can be a bonus!

The breakfast - quality and location - was the highlight. The room we booked for 3 pax was tiny, extremely loud (street, music bar nearby) and looked more like a badly maintained closet. No real restaurant at walking distance.

Pousada ótima! Passamos 4 dias na pousada para realizar os passeios de Barreirinhas. Café da manhã muito bom, com vista para o Rio Preguiças. O preço da água que eles comercializam no hotel é muito acessível, e ele é relativamente próximo ao centro, cerca de 15 minutos caminhando. Adoramos!
