I had a terrific stay at the Upper Diagonal Hotel. It was very nice - great room - friendly staff - excellent attached restaurant/bar with a wide variety of options and friendly staff as well. Two thumbs up!

Great hotel for the Barcelona Open (tennis)

The hotel was great—so convenient for the Barcelona Open! And there is a lovely coffee shop right down the street. The rooms were clean and overall comfortable. The restaurant at the hotel was quite good as well—a large selection and everything was tasty!

The hotel has an excellent location, ir was quiet and had clean environment. The property appears new and modern, enhancing its sophisticated ambiance. Although the room was not large, the space is well-distributed and comfortable . During our four-day stay, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast included in our reservation . is not a self-serve buffet but offers a menu with great choices, making it worthwhile. Both the hotel and the restaurant were exceptionally clean and sophisticated, we had a pleasant experience and we definitely enjoyed. Front desk and employees were friendly and helpful.

Nice, comfy, fabulous location for the tennis fans, with friendly and helpful staff. Too bad the interior decor is so grim—all dark gray, no color. And the bathroom is designed for a tall person who takes showers, not a short person who takes baths, or any person with back or joint problems who would have difficulty climbing into the bathtub. I would definitely recommend it to any limber person attending the tennis tournament!

I got the room with a balcony the look of the room was amazing I loved the darks features of it additionally I loved the details of lights that are in the room for example, there are lights above the curtains and around the bed frame and you can switch the lights on and off to create a nice atmosphere. The balcony was huge as it was on the first floor it was more like a terrance and was big.Theres also a good amount of snack bar options in case you come to the hotel late at night. Staff was friendly, the area is a bit more away from the centre so if you like a quieter are this is a good option it is only 10-20 minutes away depending on your transport option. Overalls I recommend this hotel it’s idea for a couple getaway and if you smoke it is nice to have a terrance.

The rooms are a bit Spartan, but everything functions well. that's the only reason I would not give it 5 stars. What is really fantastic about this hotel/restaurant is the restaurant. The food quality is exceptional and the indoor/outdoor restaurant is open all day and nigh, and you will be served whatever you want at any time you want. This is important when you are jet lagging. breakfast at 5:00 pm, no problem. Sit down and have a coke at dinner hour, no problem. but the food is exceptional. Everything on the menu was excellent. I enjoyed several dinners, and others who I knew staying there, from the conference we were attending, had exactly the same experience. Stay at Upper Diagonal for the food, service, and cleanliness.

Concerns from a platinum Expedia member. While we had a lovely time overall, there were a few aspects of our experience that fell short of our expectations. Upon check-in, my wife and I noticed that our room had not been upgraded, and we did not receive any additional food or drink options during our four-night stay. We were also surprised to find that we received only two drink coupons for the entire duration. Additionally, we had booked what we believed to be a king bed, but instead found two double beds pushed together. Each bed was fitted with two separate double sheets and comforters, which did not provide the comfort we anticipated. Unfortunately, the beds tended to separate during the night, making it difficult for us to cuddle. On a positive note, we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel restaurant. The food was exceptional, and the service was outstanding, which truly enhanced our experience.
