The apartment was clean and as pictured on VRBO.
Dolors, did not seem to know the local area or metro. When asked about directions from airport, she advised taking taxi for 50 euros. When I asked for metro directions, she told us to get out at Clot and gave us a street address of a street that doesn't have a street sign. The correct directions would be get out at Navis, go across the street to the Cafe, and then down the block until you reach the business OCASO, Turn right and it is the first door on your right. There is no street name posted anywhere. We advised that our arrival time would be between 2-3pm, based on her poor directions it was 3:10pm and Dolores scolded us.
Advertised as air-conditioned but the remote was hidden. When I called to inquire was told it is not hot enough yet to have AC. I explained that it was 25C in apartment, the unit was advertised with AC and one of the reasons we chose it. In the end she relented and told us where to find the remote was hidden.
We enjoyed the apartment, and the location is very good, easy access to metro and quick to get anywhere. There is an excellent very affordable bakery/coffee shop Cafelumnya. One night we stopped at Aladdin Doner Kebab Pizzeria on Valencia and got 2 donairs and they were cheap and fabulous.
