Good Location, Quiet

We stayed for a week and the location was centrally located and quiet. The apartment was clean and good for 1-2 people. As the other reviews have stated, the bathroom is tiny. You can't really bend over and use the sink with the door closed. The shower door doesn't close properly and water pours out onto the floor. If you're large or tall you might be uncomfortable with this. They provide a bath towel and a hand towel and for 5 euros extra they'll give you more, which is a little ridiculous to me. I've stayed elsewhere where they provide more at no extra charge. Fortunately there is a washing machine with a built in dryer in the unit. There are plenty of grocery stores within walking distance including an Aldi as well as a higher-end supermarket. There's an empanada shop, a cafe, a pizzeria, and a small market for things like paper towels and toilet paper all right outside the entrance. The main road with clothing shops is two blocks away, Ramblas is an 8-10 minute walk, and there are plenty of taxis passing in front of the building so you don't need to call an uber. The neighbors were all very quiet and overall I would recommend this apartment if you can get over the microscopic bathroom.

Very nice apartment with a terrible elevator

Really well furnished apartment. It has one AC split unit in the family room that serves the bedroom too. So it might be warm in summer. Bathroom is a bit small but functioning. Elevator to the apartment is antiquated. I got stuck in it for an hour! I would use the stairs if i go there again. Property managers add this to the description.

Clean and in a good location; responsive management

This unit isn't quite as charming as it appears in the photos due to it being inside-wall facing. The views are dreary. One of two large shades between the living room and balcony is obviously broken so that the shade is down all the time. A basic repair that should be made. Other than that, the apartment is fine for 2-3 people. Plenty of drawers and hanging spaces in the bedroom. The bathroom is tiny. I gave a lower rating to "check in" because the greeter didn't explain how to get the exterior door open from the street. It is difficult unless they tell you a special way to insert the key and push. Luckily, the management company (Habitat) has a 24-hour phone service which responded to our problem with the door, and resolved it. The unit is a close walk to some popular areas, especially the Block of Dischord (5-10 min), upscale shopping and Sagrada Familia (20 min).

Great Hide-Away in Barcelona

This is a great place for a small group (3) in the middle of Barcelona. The place is clean, well organized, fully stocked (including washer/dryer) and very central to all activities. The beds are clean/comfortable and the kitchen is well organized. The amenities are all nice and we felt very comfortable. I would certainly stay here again during my next visit to Barcleona!

Great location and perfect space for small family

Location was very convenient to all of the main city sites. Safe neighborhood. Check in was super easy and convenient. Only minor issue was that heat was on when we arrived at apartment and set to 30 C on a hot day. AC didn't stand a chance until we discovered the heat and turned it off. AC is not strong and it took a couple of days to finally cool off the apartment. Not a huge problem overall. The apartment was a near perfect experience. There was some construction noise during a couple of days but it was not a major problem.

Great Location, nice property but construction noise

This was a great apartment, centrally located, clean and comfortable. We arrived on the weekend and everything was great until the work week started and the construction started with jackhammers. The property manager quickly and effeciently moved us to another property, which worked out well.

Great location but is quite loud (construction right next door)

We got this place as I fully expected 'you get what you pay for'. It was nice to be close to anywhere you needed to be. It was larger than most rental properties but bathroom shower is small and the shower door doesn't completely close which lead to a lot of water in the bathroom. Construction right next door so bring ear plugs. I would return though given how nice it was. WiFi was 'okay'. We reset the router which helped.

2 months later and still no refund. and definitely not quiet

We booked this apartment originally for 3 nights in Sept and then arranged for a fourth night. We arrived on Sept 24th, we rang the doorbell many times and sat outside the apt and waited for quite some time with my wife and pregnant daughter only to realize that no one was greeting us as promised. Upon calling the Habitat office I was advised that someone else was occupying the apartment and there was nothing they could do but it would be available the next day. We managed to secure a very tiny hotel room for the night for $200 euros. After e-mailing Nicola who clearly double booked the room we were promised a meager refund of 80 euros for our troubles. When we finally did get into the apt. which is quite nice other than a very tiny bathroom, we discovered that the apartment next to ours was being renovated and so we had to listen to jack hammers and demolition each day we were there. Habitat did not inform us of the potential noise and we still have not received the promised meager refund. Do yourself a favour. Don't rent from Habitat and don't believe their add saying Central Quiet Apartment. and don't believe their promise of a refund. George Bartosik Uxbridge Ont. Canada

Central and quiet nights.

This is a thoughtfully appointed place and we appreciated the little box of useful items, such as coffee pods, dish soap, detergent, etc., etc. All was as described, except for the bathroom, which is extremely narrow and not all that convenient, as there are inadequate hooks for hanging one's things. The bed at the main floor is very comfortable, but we did not use the one at the loft. Everything works well and we really appreciated the location, as we walked to nearly everything we wanted to see. It is very convenient for strolling in Gracia and places around the Plaza Catalunya. Interesting little shops and restaurants nearby, too. For those who like to sleep late, keep in mind that there is very loud construction going on at the building next door, but this did not disturb us.

Fabulous location

Perfect location. Quaint, lovely apartment. It is on a busy street but zero noise from the street in this second floor apartment. There was construction going on in the building next door, so you will have a more peaceful experience once that construction is complete. Easy to work with management company. Would return!

Excellent property well located to explore the city.

We spent three nights at this Barcelona property located in the heart of the best shopping in the city. We were able to walk to the important sights and relax after a long day of exploring. The apartment is exactly as pictured and had all the conveniences expected for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped for those who like to cook, and the living/dining area is spacious and comfortable. The building is secure and the representative who greeted us was prompt and professional. A larger bathroom would have been nice, but we managed.

Obviously run by a professional team, the rep met me on time and as expected. Quickly ran me through the logistics of the property and I found it delivered as advertised. One thing to note is that there is limited privacy in this apartment due to the set up so may not be for everyone. Very well located with easy access to transit and sites.

Centrally located with lots of space

Family of 3 stayed here for 3 nights in Barcelona. The apartment was a great size for us to move around in. Check in went very well. The woman who checked us in was fantastic, she sorted us out and gave us great recommendations that kept in mind the fact we were travelling with a 7 year old. The apartment is comfortable and quiet. It is close to everything and we had no trouble getting around. Would recommend and stay here again.

Mixed review of apartment amenities

The apartment photos are accurate, but The wifi was intermittent at best, with no connection at most times of the day. We were relying on Skype and Vonage for phone service and without wifi we could not contact the owners about this problem. The kitchen is well equipped but without some of the basics like salt and pepper, olive oil, and spices, you would have to buy all of that to prepare a meal. The owner's agent was not helpful and was in a rush to leave so no basic information about the neighborhood was provided. There was a book with web sites, but without wifi we could not access this information. The bathroom is tiny, even by European standards, so you have to open the door to dry off after showering:(

Lovely City Apartment

Well equipped, beautifully appointed apartment, very convenient to transportation within city, and ten minutes from the rail station. Just a few blocks from important city landmarks and tons of restaurants in all price ranges. Comfortable and clean.
