Ocean View Cedar Chalet/ 10 min to Acadia

Cedar Chalet is a spacious 3‑bedroom, 3‑bath home set on a private, wooded lot overlooking the beautiful waters of Frenchman’s Bay. Nearly every room captures the view through large windows, and the expansive deck offers a peaceful place to start your morning with coffee as eagles soar overhead or to unwind at sunset with a beverage.

A private boardwalk shared only with our log cabin leads you to the shoreline about 500 feet downhill. From this beach, guests may see seals feeding in the bay or sunning on an exposed rock in the bay. Kayaks can be launched as well (can be rented / delivered from local companies).

Inside, the home features an open‑concept layout with the kitchen, dining area, and living room flowing together—ideal for families and friends who want to spend time in one shared space. A major 2021 renovation added a new kitchen, living area, bathrooms, bedroom, and deck, giving the home a fresh, modern feel while maintaining its coastal charm.

The chalet offers three comfortable bedrooms. The second‑floor master suite enjoys a stunning panoramic view of the water. On the main floor, the bedroom can be arranged as two XL twins or converted into a king, making it a great option for guests with mobility considerations or for children. Other than three steps from the driveway to the porch, all common areas are located on this level.

The lower level also features beautiful water views through large windows in every room. Here you’ll find a second master bedroom with a king size bed and a second living room with a premium queen plus sleeper sofa for additional sleeping space.

We have blackout blinds available in every bedroom for those 5 am summer sunrises in Maine.

Whether you’re gathering with family, reconnecting with friends, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Cedar Chalet offers comfort, privacy, and unforgettable views.

7 day minimum from 5/28-10/26 (Saturday - Saturday) except 6/27-7/5 (8 nights) and 7/5-7/11 (6 nights). Reach out directly to book these weeks near July 4th.

We have an outdoor security camera located near the driveway.

We own the log cabin (the sole other house on the road). It is a great opportunity for two larger families to be close by and enjoy a very peaceful, nature rich vacation- Bar Harbor Log Cabin #2588174.

We enjoyed our stay! Everything needed was there. Viewing the beautiful sunsets from that great porch was very relaxing. We appreciated being able to use the grill. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. We have stayed at this lovely chalet several times and will be back again!

Beautiful Setting

Property was exactly as described. It was great to retire to excellent lodging after hiking everyday. Beautiful views off the deck. Would definitely stay here again. Owner was very responsive to all communications.

Beautiful location and great house

The house is 10 minutes from town and the airport. Great views from the floor to ceiling windows. 10Minutes to Acadia park so you can go to Cadillac mountain to see the stars. We had a great time.

Much needed family getaway!

It was a beautiful place to spend time together as a family. Communication with the property owner was proactive, thorough, and extremely helpful. The location is perfect for accessing all of the beautiful spots in Acadia and the surrounding Mount Desert Island area. Every part of the property was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We can’t wait to plan our trip for next year.

Our family of 4 fell in love with the stunning home and property immediately upon arrival. Really nice, clean house. Very quite, peaceful location in the forest with great water views. Easy drive to Bar Harbor, Ellsworth and Acadia National Park. The owners are pleasure to deal with. We had a wonderful stay and would like to go back sometime.

Beautiful Maine Getaway

Great Property

The Chalet was a great place to stay. The Host was ultra-accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The location is quiet and close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The best part is looking through the giant windows leading onto the deck overlooking the water and going down to explore the shore.

We had a great time at this property. The location and space was wonderful. The only thing I would let people know is that the room on the loft doesn't have a door so if someone is an early riser, put them in that room! :)

Great gateway to Acadia

House was spotless. View was fantastic. Beds comfy (even the pullout). The house has everything you’ll need, including games and toys and books for kiddos if you have. We spent most evenings on the porch enjoying the view and sunset and most days in Acadia which is a short 15/20 min drive away

Fabulous multigeneration family week on MDI

The Cedar Chalet is wonderful. The place is clean, well decorated, and a lovely place to share time. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and reminded us of a nice hotel, especially the linens! The kitchen has all the amenities you need for cooking and sharing meals. Jamie is a very attentive host and she checked in via text, before and during our visit to make sure we were happy. I highly recommend this home and would stay here again.

Cedar chalet

Wonderful home with spectacular views! This house was a home away from home for our family of 5. A short drive to downtown Bar Harbor and several trails in Acadia national park. The kids enjoyed being so close to the water and walking down and watching the sun set every night. Great communication with host Jamie. We will definitely be back in the future!

Perfect Stay

This house was the perfect place for our vacation! The house is very spacious and had everything that we needed. Jamie was the perfect host and made sure everything was fine. Invigorating!

We had a wonderful time in the chalet, first as a couple and then enjoyed it with friends over the weekend. Very comfortable. The amazing view of the ocean was a delight by day and the stars were breath taking to behold during the night. Hoping to go back in the summertime.
