We had such a great time staying at the Hummingbird Suite in Bar Harbor. The place was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. It felt really homey — I especially loved the view of the woods and watching the ducks in the back area. The comfy beds made for restful sleep and was a huge plus for me. The location was perfect — close enough to all the restaurants, shops, and the park, but still nice and peaceful at night. It was the ideal spot to come back to after a day of sightseeing.Check-in was super smooth, Donna and Kevin were so friendly and easy to communicate with. They gave great tips on local spots, which made exploring Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor and Desert Island got it we got iteven better.We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. Thanks, Donna and Kevin for being such awesome hosts and making our trip so enjoyable!

Perfect location!! We planned our trip around being able to hike in Acadia National Park, and this space is perfectly located for easy access into both the East and West Sides of the Park! In fact, we were pleasantly surprised at how close the West Side was to the Suite. It's also a quick drive into Bar Harbor for groceries, shopping and restaurants. It was the perfect amount of space for the two of us, giving us exactly what we needed to enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the geese and relax with a movie at the end of a long day of hiking. The host was terrific and responded almost immediately! It was a fabulous trip!

The Hummingbird Suite is an adorable house with vaulted ceilings, excellent lighting, and pretty views out the back. It has everything needed including a dishwasher and was extremely clean and well maintained. I can tell that the owners take pride in their ownership. The location is so close to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. I would definitely stay here again when returning to the area.

Simply wonderful. We were greeted by a hummingbird our first morning. Found out we were only 1.5 miles from the Hull cove transportation center at Arcadia. This is where we took the free bus transportation every day. You need a park pass too park there. Kevin and Donna's hummingbird suit is great. Clean, very comfortable king size bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Couch and two recliners in living room. There back yard is coutry side like. Beautifully land scaped with flowers that attracts the hummingbirds. Chicken pen on one side ducks on the other side. Kevin even gave us a dozen eggs. They were great. Highly recommend staying here. Thankyou Kevin and Donna for a wonderful vacation.

We had a nice stay at this cozy and comfortable suite just outside of the bustle of Bar Harbor. It was the perfect base for exploring Acadia with our young kids - convenient, clean and quiet. The property was a dream for nature lovers! Our kids were thrilled to see hummingbirds, chickens, ducks, geese, and even monarch butterflies right outside the suite. It felt like a peaceful little farm treat on Highway 3. The house had what we needed. It was well stocked & thoughtfully maintained. We recommend for couples or small families looking for a quiet nature field stay close to Acadia without the crowds of downtown Bar Harbor.

Great stay!

We found the Hummingbird Suites to be just what we needed for our visit to the Bar Harbor area. It was a very convenient distance from downtown Bar Harbor (less than 10 minutes) and general Acadia park access. We also took a trip an hour away to Castine to do a bioluminescent kayaking tour. The suite was clean and comfortable to come back to for relaxing, especially after we did a 27-mile bike trip one day, which we mapped out on the huge map in the suite. We enjoyed watching the ducks, geese, and chickens in the garden area and got to taste goose eggs for the first time since the eggs were available for our use too. Thanks for a great trip!

Hummingbird Suite

Perfect spot and only a mile from the entrance to Acadia. The space was quiet and we could truly relax between sight seeing trips. We loved the backyard ducks, geese, & chickens, beautiful gardens, and birds. I would book this space again!

Short trip to Acadia

Property was very clean and comfortable. Owners were helpful and friendly, gave us suggestions of places to visit in the Park. Would stay here again. Thanks!Also, for some reason Vrbo required me to rate the “winery experience”. This was not a winery trip so the winery rating I gave is meaningless

Fall Hike trip to Acadia

We traveled to Maine to hike in Acadia National Park and enjoy what Bar Harbor has to offer. Even though we realized we were hitting the end of the fall foliage (while still incredible) and many businesses started to close up for the season, this didn’t stop us from coming! The Hummingbird Suites was perfectly located amongst it all. So cozy, comfortable and accommodating at the end of a full day of exploring and hiking. A home away from home! Kevin also gave some great recommendations for a couple of hikes in Acadia that didn’t disappoint.

Wonderful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was immaculate as advertised. Kevin and Donna are amazing hosts who go out of their way to ensure their guests are comfortable and have everything they need for a pleasant stay. The location is very convenient — close to Acadia, downtown Bar Harbor and other stores and restaurants. We definitely plan to return.

Peaceful setting, great location

We loved the peaceful setting away from the crowds of town but still was close to Acadia entrance. Hosts were attentive and unit was clean, comfortable and well equipped. FYI, the air conditioner is not central air but is a wall unit in the main room. We left the bedroom door open for some of the cool air at night. Unfortunately, the unit was loud but ear plugs when sleeping took care of that. Probably most of the year a/c won't be needed anyway. Loved the ducks, chicks and geese in the back! They are adorable!

Perfect in every way

We won’t stay anywhere else for our annual visit to this beautiful area. It’s got all the comforts you need - dishwasher, washer/dryer, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, TV and good WiFi, lovely pretty property, excellent location, and gracious helpful hosts. Everything was just as promised. Plenty of room and everything was super clean. The best view of the hens, goose, birds and we even got to see a hummingbird out of the kitchen window! Lovely.

Hummingbird House

It was a cute suite. I was under the impression it was a two bedroom and it was only one bedroom. It did work out ok because there was a futon to sleep on. It was close to Acadia National Park and not very far from Bar Harbor. There is a lot of traffic going by day and night. You need to really watch the traffic coming from the right as you face the house. It’s kind of a blind spot

Charming Get-away

We had a wonderful time at the Hummingbird Suite. Everything we needed was supplied. Really enjoyed the Hummingbird theme throughout the suite. Being located near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor was a definite plus.
