Nice, clean motel room. Room was large and tastefully decorated. It had a microwave and a small hotel-sized refrigerator and an ice machine outside by the office. Maid brought fresh towels and emptied the trash daily but did not clean the room (you can opt out of this service). It was very quiet and was well outside the heavy tourist traffic found in Bar Harbor. Assigned parking (a single parking slot) is provided right outside the door. This is located only a mile or two from the Acadia National Park visitor center. Cost was cheaper than the local hotels, even with all the add-on charges involved.The host answered my questions about local restaurants promptly.I recommend taking an Acadian Nature Tour cruise to see the Atlantic puffins and other seabirds, harbor porpoises, gray and harbor seals, minke whales, and lighthouses. Their office is three miles from this location.
