"A very old and tired hotel. Room had not been aired for a long time so smelled damp and musty - I had to open the window as soon as I entered the room. Old furniture, old and dilapidated bathroom / shower. Span and gym not available. Swimming pool available but costs €18 for a swim! I dont expect to pay as a guest of the hotel. Breakfast OK - coffee cold."

"This is a beautiful boutique hotel run by a family. They prepare a delicious breakfast for all the hotel guests each morning. The area around the hotels has absolutely stunning views. There are a couple local restaurants they recommend and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. This best prices of the 6 cities we visited in Portugal. "

"We loved this campsite! Staff were welcoming and friendly, bungalow was clean and spacious with lovely views from the balcony. The site was lovely and peaceful in natural surroundings and beautiful scenery. River views from the pool area were just amazing. Pool area nice but we didnt get to use unfortunately. "Wow!!! This old Palace turned hotel is amazing!!! The service was above first class in all areas. Property was lovely. Breakfast was huge and delicious. We did order a late afternoon meal at the bar area because the restaurant didn’t open til 7:30. we ordered hamburger with fries but it came with chips and we ordered the salad with out chicken. They sent to chicken which was very dry. Loved to walk along the water. We took a 1/2 day private tour of Porto highlights which was excellent "

"Beautiful hotel - well designed, uniquely set and surrounded by a picturesque garden. Very relaxing ambiance. Gym facilities are nice. Good playground for kids. Breakfast has good choices and worth the price. Rooms are clean, have good space, and are contemporary. Staff are well trained and are accommodating.. it is conveniently located close to shops, restaurants and main sites. Parking is easy and reasonably priced. Cannot recommend enough. "

"Staff was excellent. Breakfast was good quality. Room was nice but a bit small. Washroom facilities were good. Wife uses an electric chair for travelling. There was no ramp from entrance to street and the side walk. The side walk on our side of the street was always blocked by customers off the restaurant up the street. Need a ramp to side walk on both sides of street so yoi can cross road in front of hotel or work with neighbours to make sure sidewalk is left with enough room to get by with wheel chair. "
