Ideally located for hillwalking and exploring the Cairngorms Stayed in one of the Hilton Suites comprising a sitting area, kitchenette bedroom and bathroom- the kitchenette was well fitted out with all the utensils and amenities required. All the areas were very well proportioned and roomy. The bed was very comfortable and the suite very clean. A great place to stay

I stayed in a room rather than one of the lodges, and the room was lovely, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It's worth noting its on the very edge of the town, around a 15-minute walk from the centre of Ballater. My only disappointment was that the rooms are not serviced daily unless you are staying for a longer period, which wasn't explained at check-in. It was a little frustrating to return after a long day out to find the room hadn't been serviced, as that's one of the things I most enjoy about staying in a hotel. However, once I queried this, the staff explained the policy and provided fresh towels when I asked. It certainly didn't ruin my stay. Overall, this is a lovely hotel with comfortable accommodation, friendly service, and I would happily stay here again.

We loved the hotel and the grounds, we had a balcony and we were able to see squirrels, rabbits, all sorts of birds…even pheasant. The suite was so spacious and relaxing. The restaurant and bar were great and all the wait staff so friendly. We found the location very convenient for car day trips and walks to the village. We would definitely recommend this property.

Did not use all the facilities but had a wonderful stay. Be great to have a similar hotel near Aviemore as that is where we spent most our time. Loved the spacious and very clean suite that we stayed in.

The hotel is beautiful and the amenities such as the pool, workout room, etc. are excellent. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the finer dining restaurant. The service was great at check in, check out and the restaurant. Our room was extremely spacious and very nice. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the sitting area very nice. The big negative is there is no air conditioning. I guess I should have assumed this since the building is so old but we have stayed at older places that have been renovated and there is air conditioning. The hallways and common places in the hotel are so comfortable and it feels as though there is air conditioning there but not in the rooms.
