This house is beautiful and the views are even better - Exactly as pictured!! We enjoyed the outdoor dining area and infinity pool daily. You definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to get to the house. But Adam gave great directions and was very responsive. We would come back in a heart beat!
Absolutely fantastic house with breath taking views
Yes you need four wheel drive vehicle :)Very comfortable house with absolutely fatastic views. Kitchen was well appointed and beds were very comfortable. Probably the thing that makes the house so unique was the patio with small infinity pool where we basically spent 90% of our time, watching birds, listening to holler monkeys, relaxing in the pool and enjoying beautiful sunsets every evening. The property is in a great location with plenty of things to do within a short drive.
My boyfriend and I stayed during our trip to Costa Rica and we cannot say enough about this stay. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the views are spectacular. We couldn't have asked for better. The mountain roads are definitely tough to navigate and 4x4 vehicle is most definitely needed. We somehow found the place after dark. Adam was very helpful and always very responsive. I would highly recommend staying! We will definitely be back!
Great stay with my family of 5 during the holidays. Everything at the house was as advertised. Well appointed for making meals and close to Dominical and Uvita for outings. No complaints. Very pleased with our stay. As others have mentioned, you definitely need your 4x4 to get to the property
Beautiful place. The quality of the house is exceptional.
The view is stunning and we had lots of bird sightings sitting on the porch.
Really appreciated the basic spices, coffee already there. Would highly recommend as long as you have 4x4 vehicle.
The house is beautiful!! The pool and the view is absolutely breathtaking!!! The 4x4 trek up the mountain was soooo much fun for my family!!! Thanks alot. Very communicative as well.
My family and I had such an amazing time! All of my kids, from 18 months old to 18-years-old, enjoyed the pool every night after a busy day of activities. The property is located very close to beautiful beaches and waterfalls. The sunsets are the most beautiful we’ve ever seen so it was worth being home before dark every night. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed having an outdoor grill and dining area for dinner in the evening. Prompt and thorough communication. Highly recommend!
From start to finish, this property did not disappoint! Unbelievable sunsets, monkeys, butterflies, birds and so much more! The outdoor shower is top notch! The property manager Adam was right there to help when we arrived! Thank you for an unforgettable experience! We don’t travel to same place much, but we would certainly go back and will be telling friends!
This place is fantastic! Master suite is so cool and with an awesome indoor / outdoor shower. House was really well stocked with everything we needed. For example, the binoculars were a surprise and gave us much better views of the incredible bird life. Towels /board games / beach supplies ! Manager was timely with communication and the place was immaculately kept. 4x4 an absolute must. Our three kids (7 yrs - 12 yrs) loved it!
What’s not to love? The photos don’t do it justice honestly. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms gave our family lots of room to spread out. We enjoyed the pool right outside the living room. Large windows and patios provided views from almost every room. Toucans flew overhead one day! Woke up to the sound of Howler monkeys every day. Truly magnificent views and WOW the sunsets! A few small power outages which is typical for the area and no big deal. The drive up is an adventure but do-able in our 4x4 Tucson as long as you maintain some speed. Plan for 10-15 minutes drive down the mountain for stores and shops. Honestly no restaurant has better views than the Blue House so we ate here every night! Would love to return!
The drive up to the house is like a mini-adventure in itself, but easily tackled with a good 4WD SUV. Once we parked and got out, we were amazed at the beautiful landscaping. Once we got into the house, were blown away by the view. The pictures, although gorgeous, did not do them justice.
The house was spacious and well appointed. The outdoor shower in the master was unbelievable. We spent a lot of time out on the deck overlooking the lush plants and the beach below, relaxing in the pool. This a lot to do in the area, depending on your flavor. The weather, at that altitude, was perfect. Adam, the host, was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had. We could not have picked a better house to vacation in.
Blue house, as our family called it. We had so much fun, what a location, ocean, mountain and jungle view all in one!!
House had all the amenities one would need on vacation. You can cook food or grill outside by the pool. The pool is quite deep and feels larger then the pictures suggest. The house overall feels very spacious and airy. The view is incredible! We didn’t see any monkeys but we heard them, and spotted several birds. The drive up the mountain was overwhelming the first time as it was pouring down and we had a small Suzuki Vitara, but after that first time we quite enjoyed trekking up and down several times a day. Close to restaurants, groceries, beaches and everything else one might need. There is waterfall with a swimming pool on the way up as well. Worth the stop.
Adam was super accessible and helpful with our many questions. We would love to come back!
This VRBO exceeded all expectations! The property's beauty was even more stunning in person than in the photos. The house was immaculate and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay (including coffee!). The location was perfect for exploring the incredible beaches and natural wonders of the Dominical and Uvita areas. While the final stretch of road to the property requires 4WD (and they're not kidding!), the reward is well worth it. The seclusion and privacy were exactly what we were looking for. Every morning and evening, we were treated to the sounds of howler monkeys and a symphony of birdsong from our balcony (download the Merlin app for help identifying all the birds!). We even had a troop of capuchin monkeys visit, and spotted several sloths (including a baby!) nearby – a truly unforgettable experience! The kitchen had most essentials, though you might want to bring your own cooking oil and spices. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like beach towels, chairs, binoculars, and flashlights. The gated community provided a sense of security, and despite a few neighboring houses, we felt completely immersed in nature.Just a heads-up: the drive to town takes about 10-15 minutes, so plan your trips accordingly. Also, that first drive up the hill can be a bit daunting, but you'll quickly get the hang of it.Overall, this VRBO is an absolute gem! We highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and we booked because of the stunning views from the infinity pool and all of the amazing reviews that this hidden little gem had. I can honestly say that 10 out of 10 is no exaggeration. It was so peaceful and beautiful and gave us the best of both worlds. I wanted an ocean view, my husband wanted a jungle view….we got both. I almost didn’t want to leave the property that is how much I enjoyed staying here. I will agree with everyone else when they say that a 4 wheel drive is needed. It was night when we got in and that drive up was a bit scary the first time, but a couple days in and we actually enjoyed the drive. There was a beautiful waterfall down the hill that we stopped at. Adam was so responsive and he had a great book of recommended restaurants and things to do that we found super helpful. The sunsets at night were absolutely breathtaking. The pool guy came by a couple of days and he was so nice too, we enjoyed visiting with him and he also gave us a couple of restaurant recommendations. I didn’t want to leave - this really was a slice of heaven. The house is beautiful and they take great care of it. We did have a few visitors (animal, birds, etc.) while we were there, and we loved it. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet, romantic get away. We truly felt like we were the only ones on that mountain side - so peaceful.
Beautiful home and well maintained lush grounds with colorful shrubs, bushes, and tropical flowers. Views are amazing. We had 4 adults, and 4 children ages 5, 4, and twin 2 1/2 year olds, and plenty of room for everyone. We were in the pool every single day, and saw various birds, wildlife, and a couple of monkeys in the trees with binoculars provided in the house. 4 x 4 with ample clearance to the road is required without question. We had to switch our 4 wheel drive for one that had more clearance because the first one drug on the gravel road. The drive in and out is a challenge so be prepared, but consider it part of the experience. A monkey and a huge snake crossed in front of us on the drive down one day. The pictures are accurate and property is truly beautiful. Electricity on the mountain flickered but only really went out 1 time that lasted 2 hours. Internet works mostly but it did go out one evening but was repaired quickly the next morning. Adam was very responsive and helpful. Oscar the grounds keeper is very sweet and is around keeping things beautiful but is very stealth and we rarely saw him.
The first 4 wheel drive up to the blue casita was a bit thrilling but certainly doable and not scary at all! We spent a wonderful month relaxing in the midst of beautiful and unique birds that filled the surrounding jungle and keeping cool in the lovely infinity pool. The casita is very private and skinny dipping under the dramatic sky is dreamy. Everything you need is within about a 15 minute drive to Uvita or Dominical. Many outdoor adventures are nearby including a 3 hour mangrove tour near Sierpe with Kokopelli Mangrove Tours and whale and dolphin tour with Pacific Expeditions. Highly recommend both. A huge variety of great restaurants surround the area. We especially enjoyed Scala for an upscale meal, Los Laureles in Uvita was run by Cindy who treated us as family (and whose husband makes the best cinnamon rolls ever on Fridays - but you have to order them in advance, La Parcela- right on the water a bit south of where our road met the highway, The Beehive restaurant in Uvita, and so many more for you to discover! We had numerous inquiries during the month and Adam, the casita manager, was so very attentive to every question or need. The support people - gardener and pool tender - were so kind and unobtrusive - always announcing their presence if they needed to come into an area where we were . 2 large modern grocery stores were nearby in Uvita but we much preferred the traditional store on the highway heading into Dominical. The owner was very helpful.
Stunning views of the rainforests of Dominical and the central Pacific in Costa Rica. Clean, comfortable home. Adam, the host, responded quickly to a few problems we encountered. Overall great stay.
Absolutely beautiful property with stunning views of the jungle and ocean. Extremely clean and has everything you need. We all loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Costa Rica.
Nestled along the stunning Pacific Coast, our stay in this beautiful home was nothing short of magical. With breathtaking views of the ocean and majestic mountains, every moment felt like a postcard come to life. The gentle sound of waves crashing against the shore blended harmoniously with the serene mountain backdrop, creating a perfect escape. Sunsets painted the sky in vibrant hues, while the cozy interiors provided a warm retreat after a day of exploring. It was a serene sanctuary, where nature's beauty enveloped us at every turn.
The house was amazing! The view is unbeatable. The road up is steep in sections but manageable even in the rain as long as you have a 4x4. The house has everything you need and things you didn't even know you needed! The location is perfect-10 mins from restaurants and grocery stores. We saw monkeys and all kinds of birds! Seriously can't say enough good things about this house!
