A relaxing place to stay! The grounds were beautiful and staff was great. I would say that having a car is important if you plan on using this as your home base to explore Tuscany. Breakfast was wonderful and the fact that this is adults only makes the property feel more tranquil than it would be otherwise.

We loved our stay at Borgo I Vicelli. Lovely interiors and outdoor areas, beautiful views, great facilities and very welcoming staff. Daily housekeeping and the entire property was very clean and well maintained. Buffet breakfast included and delicious food offered by the restaurant onsite, and 20 minute drive from Florence. Perfect! No complaints at all.

Motorway noise.

Lovely hotel, great service, great food but experience is completely marred by the noise from the multi-lane highway a stone's throw from the hotel. If you're not bothered by the noise from the road, the place is a gem.

Perfection! Pure Perfection!

What a beautiful find. Relaxing and inviting. An amazing restaurant attached with a cook that either has or soon will have a Michelin Star. The hotel is perfectly located outside of Florence. Away enough and close enough. Once you are there no need to go anywhere unless you want to. They offer an intimate spa, meaning you rent the entire wellness area with Finish Sauna and jacuzzi for your party. Nobody else will be there with you. Very relaxing. The hotel is adults only so no kids around. We liked it so much we bought a house just 12minutes away. A property done right!

This hotel is a notch above the rest. The rooms are spacious, and the view of the Tuscany hills is to die for. A perfect quiet retreat 20 minutes away from the crowds in Florence.

These hotels are not your standard every day type place.. The scenery around the Borgo takes over and becomes part of your stay .. You always want to come back to the place, I don't know how come I feel this way..

An excellent, authentic stay in Tuscany

The staff are very friendly, the surroundings are idyllic and the restaurant is downright fantastic. Definitely feels like it's part of the surrounding Tuscan landscape and culture. If venturing into the surrounding hills it is recommended to use bug repellant, as some of the flies can get quite bitey. There is a bus stop very close to the driveway to the hotel which has busses to Florence. If you want a more flexible schedule than what the busses provide, or what to explore the surroundings a car would be the most convenient. While you can walk on the surrounding roads there is not really a pedestrian pavement, so you are sharing the space with the cars and bikes. All in all, an excellent stay that I would recommend to others, especially couples looking for a lovely getaway to the Tuscan countryside while still being in easy reach of Florence.

it is very difficult to go without a car. After a terrible story of arrival, the beauty of the hotel and the warm welcome of the lady (I think the housekeeper) brought us back to normal. Do not choose seasonally rainy days. Otherwise you may not be able to enjoy such a beautiful hotel enough

Die Bilder und die hohe Gesamtbewertung vermitteln den Eindruck eines ruhigen Ortes, doch das Gegenteil war der Fall. Leider haben wir uns von den positiven Bildern und Bewertungen blenden lassen und die einzelnen Rezensionen nicht genauer gelesen. Direkt unterhalb der Unterkunft verläuft die stark befahrene A1-Autobahn, deren Lärm dauerhaft und deutlich auf der gesamten Anlage sowie im Zimmer zu hören ist. In der Unterkunftsbeschreibung wird auf diese erhebliche Lärmbelastung mit keinem Wort hingewiesen. Um den Lärm zu überdecken, sind um den Pool/Gartenanlage Lautsprecher installiert, aus denen permanent Musik abgespielt wird. Leider gelingt es mit dieser Maßnahme nicht, den Straßenlärm zu übertönen. Besonders tagsüber ist der Geräuschpegel sehr unangenehm. Frühstück war insgesamt enttäuschend. Es lag nicht daran, dass das Angebot täglich gleich war, sondern an der mangelnden Qualität. Viele Weintrauben waren verdorben und die Obstschale enthielt altes Obst. Ab 09:30 Uhr waren nur noch Brotreste vorhanden. Eiergerichte über die einfache Rühreivariante hinaus waren nur gegen Aufpreis erhältlich, und selbst diese Rühreier waren meist kalt. Unser Abendessen am ersten Tag war ebenfalls enttäuschend. Das bestellte Steak und Carpaccio war nicht genießbar. Spa Nutzung war nur gegen Bezahlung und nach Reservierung als Privatspa möglich – auch das wurde in der Beschreibung nicht dargestellt. Um lugar maravilhoso para uma parada de descanso e conforto. Hotel lindo e muito bem cuidado. Restaurante uma experiência à parte Tudo produzido por eles; azeite, pão,crudos, carnes, manteiga… sensacional. Voltaremos, com certeza! Um elogio especial ao staff. Todos muito simpáticos e solícitos. Nota 10, com louvor. Café da manhã, no entanto, não atendeu às altas expectativas geradas pelo excelente jantar.

Dit hotel is de meest gezellige, rustige en mooie omgeving van Toscane vriendelijke personeel. Hotel ligt midden van de olijve plantage , florence ligt 20 min met de auto . Zeker om te raden .

Struttura molto elegante. Le camere sono belle, spaziose e pulite. E' un piccolo borgo dove poter trascorrere un weekend in relax. Nota non da poco: Ristorante a bordo piscina con piatti gourmet (devo dire eccezionali). Se si ha quindi voglia di rimanere li per cena senza così prendere l'auto, trascorrerete una piacevolissima cena. I ragazzi che la gestiscono sono veramente bravi e attenti al cliente.
