"What a perfect four days at a cabin! It was an ideal cabin for my husband, and and two labradors when we could get them out of the lake. Very cozy, we loved the wood-burning stove. The kitchen was very well equipped and everything just seemed so shiny and new.The host was amazing with correspondence.Thank you for a wonderful stay"

"We loved this place, not least because our River View room gave us a beautiful outlook. We even saw a seal swimming past. The two beds were big and comfy, the room had been renovated and a real person on reception made a nice change. I strongly recommend this place."

"Just the cutest little cottage that has all the necessities. Plus the backyard, the daily deer visits, the proximity to the ocean and dog-friendly pond. We had scheduled a 5 day stay and loved the location so much extended it 10 more days! Maggie, the host, was responsive and easy to communicate with. My husband loved Roque Bluffs so much we want to come back again next spring! By the way, our bloodhound had the time of his life- and is quite sad he had to come back home."

"This is a lovely place to stay. The location couldn’t be better - due both to being on the lake and proximity to hiking trails, other lakes, and Downeast towns. The house is comfortable and well equipped, and you have plenty of options of where to sit and enjoy the lake and its wildlife (well-windowed living/dining rooms, table and chairs on covered porch, fire pit with seating, and regular Adirondack chairs on the grass). Troy, the owner, was responsive when I had questions, which was infrequent. There is lake access, though the dock had been pulled up when I was there so I had to carry my kayak over rocks and grasses to get to the water. This wasn’t an issue; just something to be aware of if you struggle carrying the weight of your watercraft. I highly recommend this place. It’s a wonderful escape."

"We had a wonderful stay at the house. Enjoyed coffee outside on the back deck watching the sunrise over the water. There is access down to the rocky shore via a small set of steps. We cooked a fair bit which we planned to do since this is a pretty remote property and found everything needed to prepare a meal. Bedroom and bathroom were fine, and laundry was a bonus Extra blankets in the living room were nice to have on cool days, The property's water comes from a well and was pretty dirty the first day there but cleared up after being used for a day. Not an issue for us having had well water before. As I said this is a pretty remote property, one of the two restaurants close by was closed due to no cooks. Others are a 25 minute drive away. We chose this house because we wanted to explore the Bold Coast of Maine and its a great starting spot for day trips. Canada is and hour north, Schoodic Peninsula an hour south. Hiking in the area is wonderful. If you love rock hopping along the shore (I do) don't miss Great Wass Preserve Shoreline trail. A mile long walk directly on the water. Not easy but can't wait to do it again. Thanks for having us."

"Thank you Jenny, this was a beautiful vacation. Your house is super comfortable, had everything we needed, very quiet with lovely views of the woodland and bay. Nature abounds. Osprey, Eagles, Pileated woodpeckers, Kingfishers, Terns, Sand pipers (or Plovers not sure which), Herons and we were honored by experiencing the "United Federation of Seagulls Annual Convention" on the mid flats while we were there (LOL)...what a racket but lots of entertainment. We spent so much time on the lower deck just watching the natural spectacles unfold. So many beautiful walks in the area and the bold coast is stunning. We will see you next year."
