"While the accommodations were basic and very comfortable the atmosphere of this hotel was unusually delightful. The feel of the place, the welcoming staff and the setting RIGHT ON THE WATER made it an extraordinary find. I have stayed in all kinds of Inns, hotels, cabins, etc all over Maine, and such an experience I’ve rarely had! The facility was not fancy by any means, but the environment was so unique it’s hard to describe. One of the most unique aspects is that in the middle of the building that houses all the rooms is a large open space with a full kitchen, which guests are invited to use to prepare a simple meal, make coffee, do whatever they choose. Included in the kitchen are not only all the appliances you might need, but also dishes, cups, silver ware, ice maker, etc. It is a brilliant way to give guests access to those things in a roomy, functioning kitchen. Lubec is a sweet town and the gateway to Campobello Island, and also in the middle of a host of interesting lighthouses and beautiful rugged seacoast. This part of Maine should not be missed.
The staff and restaurant made this a delightful solo 3 day road trip and almost felt like I was visiting family I had not seen for a while!"
Beautiful Orange Lake ,Haven for real relaxation and rest with great sunsets 🌅

"This was a great getaway! I loved being right ON the lake and also close to the Bold Coast and all of its sights. We had everything we needed - we just had to show up and enjoy. It felt like we were a million miles away, but groceries and such were a short drive when needed. We enjoyed s'mores at the firepit, playing in the lake, and games around the kitchen table. The bunkhouse (no electricity, but handy battery-operated lights everywhere you need them) provided valuable extra sleeping space. We were also charmed by the handwritten welcome notes and guest book. Hosts were available and responsive when we had questions but also left us to enjoy the space! I would absolutely stay here again if I was back in the area."
"Awesome, location, phenomenal home with unbelievable views and wonderful beach. Grandkids loved the outdoor shower and sauna. Nightly outdoor fires. Cannot imagine a better place to enjoy family and friends."
WOW! Amazing property with an amazing view. You will never want to leave!

"Fantastic stay. Beautiful location. Just as pictures show on vrbo. Suggest bringing some outdoor games. Saw a few wild rabbits and deer. 4Corners Shop N Save isn't too far and is super stocked with anything you need. Pizza place down the road was good but it's really busy so would call ahead. Rainy day road trip to Monica's Chocolates in Lubec is a must! Go to the lighthouse too, even if it's rainy it's still nice to see."

"A lovely house in a stunningly gorgeous location. Waves crashing on the rocks close to the deck and a gazillion stars at night. Very very remote but our only neighbor in site brought over muffins. Jessica is a terrific, helpful host and the house has everything you need for a Maine stay. Great hiking, but be prepared to drive a bit to get to trails."
