"Manolis is a great host who genuinely cares about his guest and ensuring they have a great holiday. The property is fantastic with amazing views, great place to relax. But also only a short drive to restaurants/shops in Kissamos and Chania. Our children loved the outdoor cinema and pool, the outdoor space is great for families. Manolis was always happy to help with recommendations for beaches, restaurants etc and goes above and beyond what most hosts do for their guests."

"The property was beautiful, clean and well equipped lovely products in the bathroom, fresh towels and great breakfast. Maria and Nikos were the perfect Cretan host with all the warmth and kindness that only the Cretan’s can offer . We temporarily lost our car key they jumped to help us, collecting us from the salt lake pouring balm ( wine ) to soothe our troubles and then returning us to the salt lake and our vehicle , once we had realised we had stashed the key in a beach shoe thank you guys you really saved us Much love and warmth Annie & Lee x"

"We were initially disappointed to hear a week before arrival that the honeymoon suite was unavailable due to repairs, but what followed was nothing short of wonderful. Our replacement room was beautiful, and the moment we saw those dramatic, serene mountain views, any lingering "what ifs" melted away. It’s the perfect escape to slow down and breathe. Even the winding, adventure-filled drive there makes the arrival feel earned. The food was another major highlight with fresh, healthy breakfasts and deeply satisfying dinners. The sauna was incredibly relaxing. But what truly made our week were the people. The staff immediately made us feel genuinely welcomed. Theano went above and beyond to ensure we felt special and well looked after (more than making up for the suite situation). Joanna brought a warm, genuine smile to every dining experience. Last but not least, Maria was wonderfully sparkly, laugh-out-loud funny with a lovely touch of sassiness and gave the best local recommendations. The Monastery Estate Mountain Retreat quietly exceeded our expectations in the way only soulful places can. Highly recommended!"

"All of the staff were friendly and helpful to all our needs. We stayed in a junior suite which was very clean and accomadated the 3 of us well. With the bedroom door shut, it gave my daughter her own space. The breakfast was fantastic, had enough variety for anyone. The beach had plenty of umbrellas and chairs. The beach bar had good drinks and snacks. Two wonderful restaurants within a 5 minute walk and a mini mart around the corner. Would highly recommend."
