  • Welcome to 124 Hiawatha Lower Unit- Avalon Home

    This property features a completely unobstructed ocean view from the living room. Watch parasailers take flight, yachts tie up to moorings, cruise ships ferry passengers, and tour boats come and go from the green pier. The living room also features a new 55” smart TV and a queen size sleeper sofa.

    The master bedroom has a California King Bed that faces the ocean. Early birds will love watching the sunrise over the water. Night owls will prefer watching the moonlight reflect on the Harbor.

    QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited).

Beautiful updated home with stunning views and lots of space. Golf cart is very new and reliable. Hosts are very responsive and friendly. Would highly recommend this property and definitely book again when we come back. Bonus is a friendly cat that roams around the yard and loves pets.

Great view, comfortable and pretty close to the main drag, especially given the view. The golf cart is a big plus, but only holds 4 people, although the lodging holds 6.

Beautiful view above Avalon Harbor in a quieter neighborhood but still close enough to walk to the action. Having a golf cart available at all times was great. We put it to good use exploring the town and surrounding environs

Great place. The golf cart was useful and fun. Comfortable beds and clean towels. If you are not comfortable climbing the steep hills walking from the ferry consider arranging a ride to the residence.

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was beautiful and came with a golf cart, which was definitely a necessity for getting around easily. Check-in was smooth, and communication with the hosts was quick and easy the whole time. The view of the water was stunning, such a peaceful spot to relax. The only issue we ran into was the Wi-Fi being a little spotty, but everything else made up for it. Would definitely stay here again!

Cute!

Cute place with an amazing view. We had everything we needed, loved having the golf cart, and had a wonderful stay. The linens and dishes and overall appearance was clean, but the property could definitely use a deep cleaning.

Great place to stay except for the cat outside and responsibility or guilt of having to feed it and give it water. My daughter is allergic so this was not ideal. Having the golf cart was such a bonus.

Peaceful and perfect

Everything was awesome. The view was amazing. Nice location, great perk with the golf cart, had everything we needed in the home as well. Already recommended to family and friends. Would definitely rebook if we return to the island.

Amazing

The property was great! Very clean, lots of games and the view was spectacular. The added bonus of the golf cart sealed the deal as one of our family members had knee replacement surgery recently.

Great views in Avalon

Cute and clean 2 bedrooms. Incredible view of Avalon. Well equipped kitchen. The golf cart came in handy for getting out family up and down the hills of Avalon.

Catalina Vacation for a wedding

Great property great views comfortable rooms the two bathrooms helped for the five of us the only drawback would be Internet connection very hard to stay connected and use multiple devices as well where their property as well described very clean very well built and kept up very nice would go back again

Christmas in Avalon

As advertised, great location, close to town, yet quiet. Excellent communication and check-in from the manager. Our only gripe was cleanliness-marginal. The oven was dirty, the kitchen drawers and cabinets were disorganized and not clean. I would not plan to cook from this unit, lots of great restaurants though. An easy fix.

Good stay

Overall we had a great stay. We enjoyed the home. I will say for the money paid I expected a bit more. Negatives: VERY low water pressure in shower & some items were just a bit dirty (stained mattress on couch bed, some dishes in cabinet were dirty, fans had a ridiculous amount of dust collected). POSITIVES: golf cart was a huge plus, views were awesome, kitchen spacious. We also enjoyed having a BBQ area,which btw, is shared w the neighbors which was no issue for us, but something to be aware of. The host was friendly and patient upon check out.

Perfect Catalina Apartment

This apartment was a great home base for my family’s first visit to Catalina. I’m addition to the beautiful view it is adorably remodeled and nicely furnished with everything we needed to easily have a few at-home meals. Each morning we enjoyed coffee at the picture window, it was so lovely. And the golf cart was a major bonus. It made getting around the island a breeze and we were able to explore much more than we could have on foot. My only suggestion to the home owner is to supply a couple fans. In the summer with no AC it was stuffy in the bedrooms. Fans to move the air around would have made the difference. Still, I would stay here again.

Great experience staying here

We were really pleased with our experience with this property. Lots of pluses -- having use of the golf cart was fantastic! The property manager was really responsive and allowed for both an early check-in and a late check-out, which were both hugely helpful and appreciated. The condo was the perfect size for our family of four and allowed our older son his own room (younger was on the pull-out couch). More than four people staying in the condo would be cramped though. The foldout couch is really only a good solution for a younger kid. A few minor minuses that in no way caused for a negative experience, but I wasn't pleased to be asked to empty all the trash cans, as that seems like something that should be covered by the housekeeping fee.The sheets for the pullout couch had been left dirty and crumpled in the closet, but we appreciated that the property manager had fresh sheets delivered right away when we called about it. I recommend staying here and would return!
